2019 Cardiff and Vale UHB provides health services for people living in Cardiff and the Vale of Gla-morgan. The Pharmacy & Medicines Manage-ment Directorate is spread across a number of sites and we are able to offer a limited number of unpaid placements during summer 2019 (June & July) for 1st, 2nd and 3rd year MPharm undergraduate students. The Pharmacy & Medicines Management Direc-torate provides a leading edge pharmaceutical service to patients including electronic dis-charge prescribing, automated dispensing and a wide variety of specialist pharmacist roles, in-cluding non-medical prescribing. During the placement we will look for opportunities to provide you with valuable ex-perience of all aspects of hospital pharmacy; the duration of the placements will usually be 3 days. We are not able to offer payment for these placements and we will consider applications from students at any stage of an MPharm degree course. What are we offering? We are offering unpaid placements for up to 1 week to pharmacy undergraduates during June and July

2019. These placements will provide you with an opportunity to undertake a short period of work

experience in a hospital and primary care environment. A rotational programme will be designed to

provide experience in the following areas:

Clinical Services on wards and /or in clinics

Procurement and Stores

Aseptic Unit/Non-sterile Production

Medicines Information

Primary Care
