1. Fold a 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” piece of white cardstock in half to form

card base. 2. Position Card Loom die on right part of 4” x 5 1/4” Strawberry

Splash cardstock (oriented horizontally), with lines of die running vertically and right edge of die positioned about 3/8” from right edge of Strawberry Splash cardstock (centered from top and bottom).

3. Carefully place die and Strawberry Splash cardstock onto cutting pad, and run through die-cutting machine. This will cut the “posts” of your card loom panel, which you’ll use to create your woven frame.

4. Thread a bamboo skewer through the card loom posts in an “over and under” pattern, starting from the back and going toward the front, with the tip of the skewer pointed upward through the first loom cut.

5. Cut a quilling strip into four pieces, and set two of them aside. Slip two of the strips through the bamboo skewer pathway.

6. Pull out the bamboo skewer, turn panel to the reverse (or “wrong”) side, and push one strip flush against each edge of the loom. Use blunt end of bamboo skewer as needed to nudge the strips towards the top and bottom.

7. Thread bamboo skewer through the card loom posts again, starting from the front and going toward the back, with the tip of the skewer pointed downward through the first loom cut. This time you’ll be threading the skewer in the opposite “over and under” pattern from what you did in step #4.

8. Take other two quilling strips and slip them through the bamboo skewer pathway.

9. Pull out the bamboo skewer, turn panel to the reverse (or “wrong”) side, and push second set of quilling strips flush along each edge of the loom area next to the strips already inserted.

10. Turn panel over to the reverse (or “wrong”) side, and use pointed tip of bamboo skewer to pull ends of second set of quilling strips (i.e., ends of both upper and lower inside strips) towards you.

11. Place Scor-Tape on left and right sides of card loom, to hold end of quilling strips in place.

Repeat These Steps For Upper Right End – Inside Strip

Repeat Process Again For Both Lower Ends – Inside Strip

12. Trim excess ends of quilling strips, and then pull the liner from the Scor-Tape on one side of the card loom. 13. To form sides of woven frame, cut quilling strips into 1 1/2” long pieces, fold in half, and slide them around the

posts of the card loom. Place the folded strips around alternate posts on one side, using 7 strips total, to create the “fake” weaves.

14. Put a piece or two of regular tape over ends of folded strips to hold them in place. 15. Pull liner from Scor-Tape on other side of the card loom, and repeat steps #13-14 for that side. 16. Give your folded strips a “haircut” by trimming the excess ends as needed.

17. Using scissors or a paper trimmer, cut the inner 9 posts across the middle of the card loom. 18. Place Scor-Tape over inner horizontal quilling strip on bottom, and remove liner. 19. Fold lower cut posts of card loom downward, and adhere to Scor-Tape.

20. Repeat steps #18-19 for upper half, placing Scor-Tape over inner horizontal quilling strip on top, and folding upper

cut posts of card loom upward. 21. Give the cut posts a “haircut” by trimming the excess ends as needed.

22. Turn woven frame panel to front side. Without using adhesive, position front panel over card base, and lightly mark the inside four corners of the woven frame with a pencil.

23. Remove woven frame panel and set aside. Using the pencil marks as your guide, stamp “Thinking of You” saying

onto the base card. 24. Erase pencil marks and adhere woven frame panel onto base card, so that saying shows through the framed area. 25. Stamp tulip and butterfly images onto scrap white cardstock. Color images with pencils and blend with Gamsol. Cut

out the images closely around edges, leaving a thin white border. 26. Tie metallic string into bow around upper stem of tulip, and adhere tulip to left part of card front using foam tape. 27. Adhere butterfly to lower right of card front using foam tape. 28. Embellish wings of butterfly with clear glitter brush marker as desired.
