technical detailsSTREAM LEATHER

Stream leather is tanned using vegetable extracts andground tree bark. In order to fully take in its qualities, ithas been churned non-stop for several weeks inside aspecial cylinder. It is greased in a slow and delicateprocess, by expert hands in an entirely artisan fashion,using natural animal fat and olive and sunower oils.Once it is dry, the outer coat of the leather is minutelyimpregnated with olive oil. This operation provides theshoes with an exclusive nish that naturally protectsthem from water, dirt, and the passage of time. Whenthe weather is cold, you will nd your shoes to b e

covered by ne white lm: this is our best guarant ee ofquality. Proof that they are prepared for life.

SINAI LEATHER

Sinai leather is composed of calfskin a nd only wrinkledleather is used to give a look of ageing. A natural andrough complexion with a shiny nish that contrasts witha matte glossiness is achieved through the use of thisleather.

RECYCLED PU FOOTBED

The footbed material is based on Polyurethane whichcontributes to the improvement of the comfort. It isthe perfect material to maintain shoe hygiene. Thematerials used are active carbon; they are antibacterial,antistatic, breathable and provide a greater absorptionof perspiration.

RECYCLED RUBBER SOLES

With all the properties of natural rubber, recycledrubber is obtained from either leftover or re-utilizedmaterial. Current recycling technologies allow thehighest quality rubber to be produced using materialsthat otherwise would be classied as industrial waste.There can be no better argument for choosing thisenvironmentally-friendly raw material.

PULL GRAIN LEATHER

This leather is treated with river stones to naturallytemper the hide: a process that allows us t o obtain

a highly luxuriant and resistant leather which, at thesame time, is extremely soft to the touch and exiblefor walking. These shoes are comfortable, lightweightand versatile, making them ideal for embarking on anyjourney.

NATURAL RUBBER SOLES

Using 100% natural rubber soles is a key factor inachieving shoe exibility and durability. Natural rubberbends easily and absorbs footsteps, but completelyrecovers its shape and thickness and is more hard-wearingthan synthetic materials. This results in comfortable,resistant and extremely long-lastin g soles. Also, oncenatural rubber is discarded it degrades much morerapidly than synthetic materials.

PERGAMINO LEATHER

Soft goat leather which is tanned without the use ofchrome and crafted just like the antiquarian leathersof parchment or book wraps that were used in the1th and 16th century. This leather gives every shoe avery distinctive and sophisticated look.

MICROFIBRA

MICROFIBRA is a technical lining with a g reatcapacity for absorbing humidity, giving total breathabil-ity for the skin and providing a fresh and dry feel.

HAND STITCHED

El Naturalista brings together the latest technologieswith shoemaking traditions by using special hand-stitching techniques to make some of its models. Thistechnique, inspired by the very origins of footwear,makes it possible to use a thicker thread, which resultsin a sturdy shoe with a n unmistakable artisans nish.

ERGONOMIC RUBBER

Some of our models feature a wedge of ergonomicmaterial concealed in the heel support area, whichcan be seen by raising the insole. It provides crucialpoints of support for weight distribution resulting ina springy sensation and amazing shock-absorption.This material has been selected for its properties ofrapid recuperation and indenite shape retention. Incontrast to other gels or compounds found on themarket, ergonomic rubber guarantees the cushioningduring the entire useful life of the product.

COMFORT LAST

Our comfort lasts have an angled outline that adaptsto the natural shape of the foot. By studying thefoots anatomical conguration, we created lasts thatwill replicate our physical contours. The models thatincorporate this ergonomic shape do not compress,either while walking or in repose, making themincredibly comfortable; and in this case comfortequals health.

ANATOMIC INSOLES

These anatomically-designed insoles are made fromrecycled cork. Their shape is simple yet extremelyimportant: they t the contours of the foot like aglove. The distribution of weight over the sole of thefoot while walking is thus optimal, with the insolesabsorbing impacts and preventing damage to sensitiveareas.
