6 cups pared/sliced applies (about 6 medium apples)

Ingredients:
Apple filling:
Favorite pie crust
1 cup (12 oz. package cream) cheese
2 eggs 2/3 cup sugar ½ lb. or 36 light colored
caramels ½ cup evaporated milk
Cream cheese & caramel topping:
Roll out favorite pie crust on ungreased 18 x 14” sheet of heavy aluminum foil to 17 x 12” rectangle. Fold edge to form a standing rim & flute. Fold foil up around pastry to make a pan. Place on cookie sheet.

Apple filling:Combine 6 cups pared/sliced apples (about 6 medium apples), 1 cup sugar, 1/3 cup flour, 2-4 tablespoons lemon juice in bowl.
Place filling in pastry-lined pan.
Melt ½ lb. (about 36 individual wrapped) light colored caramels with ½ cup evaporated milk over boiling water, stirring occasionally. Keep over hot water.
Cream 1 cup (12 oz. package) cream cheese, 2 unbeaten eggs, 2/3 cup sugar until fluffy and smooth.
Drizzle caramel sauce in stripes over apples. Spoon cream cheese topping between caramel sauce.
Bake at 375 for 30-35 minutes until Lightly browned Option: Garnish with walnuts or brown sugar
