DIÂMETROS
• DN diâmetro nominal, simples número que serve para classificar em dimensão os elementos de tubulação e acessórios (conexões/peças especiais);
• DE diâmetro externo;• Diâmetro real, diâmetro interno do tubo,
varia conforme o material e a classe de pressão.

DIÂMETROS
• A unidade de medida do diâmetro é o mm, mas os valores das dimensões tem origem na polegada, pois os primeiros fabricantes são ingleses, onde esta unidade é amplamente utilizada;
• Os diâmetros comerciais para tubos de abastecimento público, são múltiplos de polegada, sendo o menor diâmetro utilizado o de 2 polegadas (DN 50);
• Demais diâmetros 3” -75mm; 4”-100mm; 150mm; 200mm; 250mm; 300mm; 350mm; 400mm; 450mm; 500mm; 600mm........

DIÂMETROS
• Para instalações prediais são usadas diâmetros correspondentes a submúltiplos de polegada: ½” -13mm; ¾-19mm; 1”-25mm;
• Para tubos de pvc o diâmetro indicado é o diâmetro externo: diâmetro 25mm corresponde a 19mm internamente;
• Também pode ser utilizada múltiplos de polegada:1,1/4”-32mm;1,1/2”-38mm;2”-50mm

CLASSES
• As classes de pressão dos tubos correspondem as espessuras das paredes dos tubos necessárias para resistirem às pressões que os tubos estão sujeitos;
• Quanto maior a pressão maior a espessura da parede do tubo;
• O aumento da espessura se dá para dentro do tubo, sendo que o diâmetro externo não muda, quando muda a classe do tubo, considerando-se determinado diâmetro;
• Este fato facilita a união entre os tubos.
