Capt. Daley's Sea Stories South Africa Expedition Palace of the Lost City 25 February 2010 Rather than returning to the United States for my 45 days of leave, I travelled South Africa for thirty days. I found South Africa to be no more dangerous than the United States. It is a beautiful country from the two oceans it spans to the majestic mountains. The people of South Africa are genuine and caring. I would return to South Africa for work or pleasure in a heartbeat and heartily recommend it as a travel destination. Driving six hours from the Crystal Springs Mountain Lodge over the north edge of Johannesburg brought me to the Palace of the Lost City in the Northwest Province. Nestled In the rolling hills of the Pilanesberg, one of South Africa's most scenic locations, Sun City is a world unto itself and has earned its reputation as Africa's Kingdom of Pleasure. The Palace of the Lost City, fabled to be the royal residence of an ancient king, is truly the most extraordinary hotel in the world. These photos have been resized up from their original images. South Africa Expedition

Palace of the Lost City 25 February 2010

Rather than returning to the United States for my 45 days of leave, I travelled South Africa for thirty days.
