    *Introduction

     Indian healthcare consists of medical pluralism and Ayurveda isone of them. Ayurveda, one of the most ancient medical systems has

     been widely practiced in the Indian subcontinent.

    Ayurveda ( Ayur : Life; Veda: Science, means science of life inSanskrit aims at holistic approach towards mana!ement of health

    care and disease maintenance

     Ayurvedic medicines are based on plants, animals" e#tracts and

    minerals both , hence consumption of ayurvedic medicine does not

     produce any ma$or adverse effect on body, beside the use of allopathic

    medicines may cause harmful effect on kidney, liver, intestines,

    alon!with some aller!ic effect to skin.

    Aromatherapy, Acupressureacupuncture, )omeopathy, *hinese +raditional

    therapies, etc have been few of the most sou!ht after treatment ways due to

    rapidly e#pandin! haards of modern medicines

    -eside of all benefits some reasons are also present which effect the use of

    ayurvedic medicines amon! consumers. *onsumers are ne!atively affected

    with these reasons.

    In indias population youn! adult is a ma$or part and play a si!nificant role.

    /%01S*23 defines 4youth, as those persons between the a!es of 56 and

    78 years

    -ut because of life style their interest towards medical treatment specially

    towards ayurvedic treatment is very less.

     So these study is mainly focused on to find out the ma$or reasons behind

    attitudes towards ayurveda amon! 56 to 78 a!e !roup consumers.

    difference.

    treatment is negative because of form of medicine; less innumber of hospitals; bad brand value of pharmaceutical

    companies; medicines not properly available in mar5et

    pharmaceuticals companies give attention in this

    direction.
