Never would we have imagined a scenario where we are still dealing with the ambiguity and challenges of a global pandemic. We have all worked to ensure our setbacks don’t set us back, including the developer and contractor who are building the parking structure for our future use. We are pleased to report that construction work on Waldo’s, the mixed-use development that includes the parking structure, has commenced after a few delays due to COVID and other unforeseen situations. In the parking structure at Waldo’s, we will gain 200 parking spaces for Saturday evenings and Sundays and nearly double our total parking capacity. The arrangement guarantees parking for Lourdes in perpetuity. The anticipated completion date for Waldo’s is spring/summer of 2023. We began our Capital Campaign, Moving Forward In Faith, six months ago to raise funds for our new church. I am excited to announce that we have made good progress in our Capital Campaign. This is especially noteworthy considering we have done this all virtually during a pandemic!
We have a God-given vision for Lourdes and a heart to expand our community. We aren’t afraid to dream big dreams. God created us with expansive imaginations to hold these big dreams. It’s going to take all of us to support this vision.
