Chris Dempsey Cranes (CDC) is a Far North Queensland based
business that has been in operation since 2001. As a supplier for
wet and dry hire of heavy lifting equipment, associated transport
services and earthmoving machinery, CDC has built a reputation
based on accuracy, energy, safety and excellent client service.
Chris Dempsey Cranes has expanded its scope of works to include
bridge construction, road construction and associated civil
projects for public and private clients.

Chris Dempsey Cranes operates throughout Far North Queensland.
The Ravenshoe Depot, the headquarters, is ideally situated to service
the North & Western Gulf areas of Queensland & the Northern
Territory, including Torres Strait and New Guinea.
The Atherton Depot located in the Tolga Industrial Estate puts our
professional service in easy reach to Malanda, Atherton, Tolga,
Mareeba and all outlying areas of the Tablelands.
Mobile
Chris Dempsey Cranes has mobile camps allowing us to provide
efficient on time services to our customers in all locations. The camp
remains on location for the duration of the project.
CDC camps are designed to provide our staff with a comfortable safe
living environment including: first aid facilities, power generation,
catering facilities, ablution system, and waste management.

of late model cranes and earthmoving equipment. CDC
has the ability and experience to undertake large and
small contracts, ranging from individual private clients to
corporation contracts up to $5 million per annum. CDC ’s
ability to supply is backed by accredited management
systems, sub-contractors and our established suppliers.

Plant & Equipment
Chris Dempsey Cranes has an extensive range of late
model cranes, earth-moving plant, and road transport
equipment compliant to all ISO AS/NZS standards. The
compliance department monitor the fuel efficiency of
the entire fleet to highlight equipment for repair,
replacement and to minimise fuel consumption and in
turn, the companies carbon footprint.
The Heavy Vehicles are fitted with Intelligent Access
Program (IAP) units, monitored by a third party to
ensure the wellbeing of drivers and vehicles, and
monitor data on driver performance to ensure our
fleet is travelling efficiently with minimal impact on the
environment and infrastructure.
Maintenance
The Planned Preventative Maintenance Program
ensure all equipment is fully utilised with minimal
breakdowns. The fleet is fully serviced and maintained
to the highest standards by an experienced team of
mechanics and are independently assessed and
certified annually to ensure all equipment meets
Australian Standard requirements.
