Cantilever Bridge Construction
Join industry leaders for a session of open learning about the only bridge of its kind on the Pimlico to Teven Project.
5.30pm - 7.30pm | Tuesday 5 March 2019Hawken Auditorium447 Upper Edward Street, Brisbane, QLD 4001
One of its kind
The $4.3B Woolgoolga to Ballina Upgrade spans over 155 kilometres of Pacific Highway in the far north coast region of NSW and contains more than 150 bridges and structures.
Despite the number of bridges, only one is a cantilever bridge.
Lead by Georgiou’s Project Manager and the evening’s guest speaker, Iain Logie, his team are currently delivering the Pimlico to Teven Stage 3 project which involves the construction of
2km of the southbound carriageway on the Pacific Highway and involves the demolition of two existing bridges and construction of two new bridges on the same alignment.
Join Iain and fellow engineers in an interactive discussion where we’ll hear first-hand: What challenges are the team facing? What’s involved in cantilever bridge construction? And why the pressure is on for Georgiou to get this right. REGISTER NOW
