Cannock Chase FP 2014 – 2024 Single tree and group selection will be used by the management team in Fullmoor Wood to open up the stands once the trees have reached their target diameter and allow an understory to become fully established before the canopy is fully removed. The wet woodland will be designated as Natural Reserves. No further management operations will be carried out in these areas (unless on H&S grounds) and the woodland ecosystem will be allowed to evolve naturally.

When forestry operations are carried out on AWS and PAWS native broadleaves will be favoured and exotic species will be gradually removed during felling operations.
