THE PHILOSOPHYThe philosophy of the Fakir company is not only to set goals, but to practise guiding principles. Focus of all our activities and efforts is on the one handthe customer whose requirements are for our guidance and whose requests are always our standards and on the other hand the staff member whoseexperience and expert knowledge are the most important capital of the company. The decades of concentration on the range for floor cleaning andcare, ventilation and heating as well as many patents are the basis of Fakir’s special competence. This is why we still today develop “Quality fromGermany” in our Vaihingen premises.

As we have our own R&D department, we are able to realize new concepts and technical development of existing products quickly. Furthermore, a strictquality assurance system and a clever logistics system ensure absolute reliability. An after-sales-service without compromises can be taken for granted:We offer a qualified service and support of our national and international customers by a comprehensive network of agencies and authorized work-shops. The ecological responsibility towards the environment is also of particular importance to Fakir. Therefore already in the course of developmentattention is paid to the protection of resources and the later on recycling. In cooperation with international designers the same high standards are appliedwith respect to the design. The passion for details forms the unique characteristic of Fakir appliances.

THE COMPANY

75 years ago Wilhelm Kicherer began our company’s success story when he founded the family-owned company Fakir. At this time, machines and appliances for cleaning floors were manufactured.Fakir soon became a well-known hallmark of outstanding quality and high-grade, innovative techno-logy. During the expansion of the company in the 50s, electric heating appliances for household usewere added to the constantly enlarged production programme. Today, Fakir’s product portfolio inclu-des floor cleaning, floor care and heating appliances as well as the product lines cooling fans, airconditioners, air humidifiers and dehumidifiers. The Fakir company, into which the nilco Reinigungsmaschinen GmbH was incorporated in 1961 forthe commercial cleaning machines sector, comprises a comprehensive network of regional agents aswell as 140 authorised workshops. Throughout the world, 60 agents currently ensure a comprehensivecustomer service thereby securing the consistent success of this company from Vaihingen in the highlycompetitive global markets.

The 5-ply micro nonwoven filter bag: Keeps back dry large and small particle dirt.

Thanks to a hygienic disposal ledge the large, economical filter bag can be replaced easily and cleanly.The lid closing stop controls whether the filter bag is put into the correct position.

2. The micro main filter collects very fine dust and acts as a pre-filter to protect the subsequent filter inserts.

3. The filter cassette Micro-Vario: Exclusive filter technique “Made in Germany” by Fakir: HEPA/activated carbon combined filter as standard, regarding technical aspects optimally positioned in front of the motor and not behind the motor as usual. Smallest particles and allergen substances are already filtered off ensuring high hygienic efficiency and durability of the motor. The individual filter inserts are interchangeable at any time: an activated carbonfilter, a HEPA filter (filtration of particles up to 0,3 μm, providing for exemplary air conditions – a boon for people suffering from allergies) and the FreshWave system (for use as odourless cleaner in combination with the HEPA filter).

4. The micro exhaust filter prevents air pollution caused by wear on the motor’s carbon brushes.

QUALIFIED FILTER TECHNIQUE FROM FAKIRIndividuality is expressed by the way of living, the preferences, the personalstyle and taste. This is reflected in furniture and decoration providing for yourpersonal well-being at home, for example smooth floor coverings in a singleflat where there is perhaps sometimes cigarette smell in the air or soft carpetsin a cosy family home with pets. Therefore canister vacuum cleaners have tomeet individual requirements – not only with regard to the cleaning perfor-mance, but also to the absorption of different dust and dirt particles.

In addition, the requirements of those people being sensitive to air pollutionhave to be considered: babies, seniors and people suffering from allergies.Therefore Fakir always focuses on advanced filter technologies, not onlyregarding their coordination with particular pollutants. Depending on thevacuum cleaner type and class various combinations of filter systems arealready considered in the course of development to serve the individualdemands of our customers in every respect.

The top models of the Fakir S-class offer the most complex filter system, thecomponents of which are shown with this illustration. The number and combi-nation of the filter components used with all other canister vacuum cleanersdepend on the model you select.

The dust-proof housing is hermetically isolated according to DIN EN60312. Together with the bristle ring at the suction nozzle a perfect air washing system is ensured. Particles up to 0,3 μm are filtered. Total filter efficiency: 99,995 % – ideal for people suffering from allergies. Electric filter exchange indicator from which you can see

whether the filter bag has to be replaced or whether the nozzle,suction tube or suction hose is clogged.
