Canada was found by Jacques Cartier Named from an Iroquois word Kanata meaning villageThis is because the Vikings had a small village near or maybe in CanadaThen the War of the League of Augsburg began in 1689The war started in the east but was also fought in the westThe English were stronger in terms of population and wealthDespite the odds New France still won

Some credit the win to the disunited English colony who was also full of mutual jealousy

The English planned a big attack on Quebec but it failed

At one time Canada was all French

English-speaking immigrants came over in 1867

Newfoundland was the first part of Canada explored and the last to become a providence

Canada became a country on July 1st, 1867

A big attraction sense hockey is their national sport

It’s a place to honor some of the best NHL players to have played the game

NHL zone has two nine-foot statues “guarding” the entrance

The house put the two in debt so they had to leave it behind

Biggest attraction is the edgewalk

A lot of people like seeing the glass floor

The look out level is a great attraction there
