HISTORIAL DE MANTENIMIENTO:Construction The last yacht, built by Camper & Nicholsons with this classic construction The hull is of 2 1/16” Burmese teak planking on 4½” x 3” x 7/16” sections steel frames Keel, stem and aft deadwood mahogany The masts are made of Oregon Pine (new 1996) Bermudian Ketch rig Classification Commercial registration for all operating areas, originally built to Lloyd's Register scantlings, 100 A 1 History: Modern Time and Restoration In 1959 the yacht was donated to the American Geographic Society and served as an oceanographicresearch vessel. The history in the late 1960's and 70's is clouded in mystery. 1980, Halifax, Canada: Dentist Dr. Gene Jensen bought the yacht and decided to adopt her for charterpurposes. Subsequently, the boat was stripped down to a bare hull after which she was built up again toincorporate a more practical interior for guests and all new systems. It was also then that the gaffedmainsail was replaced with a bigger Bermudian rig. During this restoration high quality and safetystandards were followed to ensure continuing Lloyd's Register 100 A 1 classification. The yacht then operated as a charter vessel during the 80's until she was dismasted in a Caribbeanhurricane in 1989. Financial problems forced the owner to sell the boat, after which she was transportedto the Netherlands. The new owner started with the planning and designs for a new restoration in 1995with the plan to fully restore her in the Netherlands, so that she could be operated trouble free for theyears to come. 1996/97, The Netherlands: The restoration was conducted with a number of carefully selected Dutchspecialist companies; layout and a larger sail plan were prepared by Olivier van Meer. The objectives

during the restoration were clear: entirely new systems, wiring, piping, appliances, engines, crewquarters and two luxury en-suite guest cabins instead of four in the area forward of the saloon. All wasto be carried out with the highest standards Dutch yacht building can offer and the yacht was toincorporate the highest level of comfort possible, while maintaining all the style and warmth of a classic vessel. A year and a half were spent from initial planning to sea trials.
COMENTARIO DEL AGENTE:This beautiful classic 115ft ketch was built and designed by the famous Camper & Nicholsonsshipyard in Gosport, United Kingdom. The framing of the keel was made in 1939, but because of the2nd World War and family circumstances the yacht was first launched in 1952. Her first owner was thetobacco tycoon R.J. Reynolds. Designed for long North Atlantic and Arctic cruising, the yacht was givenher extremely seaworthy structure and voluminous hull form, which provides her interior with space andcomforts that are normally not found in many (racing) classics of this size, giving her an exclusiveelegance of style, solidity and reliability.
