YMCA CAMP CLASSEN is a traditional overnight summer camp nestled on 2,200 acres, in the Arbuckle Mountains of southern Oklahoma. Home to campers ages 6-16, YMCA CAMP CLASSEN provides the perfect setting for learning, growth, and fun! With a wide variety of activities from archery and horseback riding to hiking and canoeing, campers gain skills and confidence to propel them forward in life. We are intentional with our camp programming, and are devoted to safety through our two-week staff training.

At CAMP CLASSEN we endeavor to build a healthy mind, body and spirit using Christ as our example and the bible as our guide.

GIVING CAMP CLASSEN A TRYExplorer Camp - Four days, three nights (exclusive for ages 6-8)For younger campers, or nervous parents, not so sure about being away from home for too long, but that want to give camp a try. This is the perfect opportunity to dip your toes into some of the best parts of camp and prepare for main camp next summer. Campers will get to experience age appropriate camp activities, including hiking, swimming, arts & crafts, archery and special activities just for Explorers. This camp is intentionally smaller to allow for a greater camper to counselor ratio. So grab your pack and let’s get camping!

FALLING IN LOVE WITH CAMP CLASSENMain Camp - Young (ages 7-9), Old (ages 10-12)Every journey has a beginning, and for many of our campers it all starts with main camp. As a young main camper, you will get to do nearly everything under the sun, and see just how much YMCA CAMP CLASSEN has to offer. As you move into older main camp, you get to choose your activities each day. Want to go throw tomahawks three times in a week? Go for it! Want to follow up arts and crafts with rock climbing? Not a problem. The choice is yours. YMCA CAMP CLASSEN is a place where learning to build friends goes hand- in -hand with learning archery or canoeing, all in a safe and caring environment. So come climb a wall, ride a horse, shoot a bow and arrow, and jump on the blob!

A CAMP THAT GROWS WITH YOU89ers (ages 13-15)For our older campers, we have a program that evolves with them, and provides a chance to see camp in a whole new light. As an 89ER camper, you’ll experience things that main campers don’t; such as our weekly trip to Turner Falls, the Warren Mountain Hike, swimming in the back lake, and more. Housing that is situated away from main campers allows for late night volleyball and basketball games, and the occasional 89er campfire. There is still plenty of the traditional resident camp fun, as well as a great opportunity to serve as a role model for the main campers. New freedoms coupled with new expectations result in one amazing summer. Just ask 89er mascot; Sterns the frog!

SADDLE-UP AND RIDEFrontier Adventure Junior (ages 10-12) Frontier Adventure (ages 13-15)Saddle-up pardner’. We are headed for historic Collings' 101 Ranch on the property of YMCA CAMP CLASSEN. As a Frontier Adventure camper, you’ll spend plenty of time in the saddle as you take riding lessons, trail rides and more during the morning. The afternoons are spent on Main Camp at the beach, swimming, at the trading post and more. Learn from the best equestrian director this side of the Mississippi on our working horse ranch. You’ll even have a chance to cool off at Turner Falls! So saddle up, we’re expecting you.

TAKE THE NEXT STEPCIT/WIT (ages 16-17)If your teen is interested in growing as a leader and being a part of the magic of camp for others, then our Counselor-in-Training (CIT) or Wrangler-in-Training (WIT) programs might be a great fit. This three-week program challenges participants to learn and develop a leadership skill set through working with campers and other counselors. It is the most fun, and most demanding, experience you can have at YMCA CAMP CLASSEN, and some of our very best counselors come out of this program. Our core values of Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibility are stressed and the CIT/WIT campers are encouraged to learn more about who they want to become.
