Camp Hope 2009 a HUGE Success

The 2009 Camp Hope was a great

success. Approximately 20 families,

including both children and parents,

were touched through the project.

Children between the ages of 5 and

16 attended the one-day grief camp

which was sponsored by Hospice of

South Georgia, Inc. and was held at

the Flying Eagle Ranch. The children

spent time with counselors exploring

their feelings and grief for loved

ones and enjoyed expressing them-

selves through crafts and music. The

children also enjoyed time making

new friends who understood what

they were feeling as well. Horse back

riding, paddle boats and games, skits,

food and a memorial balloon release

added to the fun. Parents were also

invited to a round table discussion

which opened more doors for healing
