Camp Guy Program
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Wayne County Summer Camp Program takes place at Camp Guy, our privately owned campground located on168 beautiful acres on the Whitewater River near Connersville, IN. The Boys & Girls Club Summer Camp Program is co-ed and open to any member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wayne County. Memberships are $15.00 per year and may be purchased at any Boys & Girls Clubs of Wayne County site.
Camp Program Costs:
$35 per week
($30 per week for each additional sibling)

On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday we will spend the day at Camp and return to the Club at 4 p.m. Campers can stay at the Jeffers Unit until 6 p.m. Every Thursday features an exciting overnight and we will return to the Club at 12 Noon on Friday. Campers may begin arriving at the Jeffers Unit as early as 6 a.m. If present during serving time, campers may eat breakfast at the Jeffers Unit prior to leaving for camp. Breakfast is served between 7:30-8:30 a.m. Camp includes a daily lunch and snack and a dinner on Thursday night. A parent, guardian, or parental approved designee must enter the building and sign the member in and out each day. Campers will be provided lunch and snack at camp daily along with supper on Thursday night and breakfast on Friday morning. What to Bring Everyday: Swimming suit Towel Outdoor clothes Water bottle Shoes that can get wet Sunscreen (SPF 40 recommended) Bug spray Any medication needed Overnight supplies – sleeping bag, pillow, and toiletries Tent (if desired) Money for the bait shop (if desired) What NOT to bring: Weapons of any kind (including pocket knives) Lighters Electronics or toys Heelys Cell phones *Note: Please do not wear sandals, flip-flops, or Crocs unless you bring another pair of shoes to camp as well.

Camp Guy Arrow Program
Each patch is earned by completing the following skills:
Fishing - Basic safety rules, parts of a rod and reel, casting
Hiking - Complete hikes up Hamburger Hill, Scout Camp/Christmas
Tree Farm, Bulldozer Hill, Scabby’s House and the Lost Pond
Arts & Crafts - Complete four arts & crafts projects
Fire Building - Fire safety, building and starting methods
Compass/Navigation - Parts of a compass, basic navigation
Tree Identification - Identify Poison Ivy and at least 5 trees
Responsible Leader - Shows leadership skills or becomes a C.I.T
Knot Ties - Able to tie four different knots
Teamwork/Friendship - Uses teamwork to complete a project
Swimming - Swimming safety, can float 30 seconds, tread water for
1 minute, can swim across the pond/river, swim under water
Archery - Demonstrate archery safety, general rules, proper
technique, parts of the bow & arrow
