SOMALISA ACACIAHwange National Park, Zimbabwe

Somalisa Acacia is the perfect Hwange safari experience for families with younger

children or smaller private groups of safari-goers. Set on a private concession in the

heart of Hwange National Park, this family camp located to the west of sister camp

Somalisa, is built under the dappled canopy of a grove of Acacias and provides guests

with a breathtaking view of the golden savannah plains of Hwange.

The camp comprises of a lounge, dining room, boma, swimming pool and its own elephant

drinking pool with up-close encounters and incredible photographic opportunities with

elephants. There are 2 family tents with inter-leading walkways between the parents

and children’s rooms which are both en-suite as well as 2 standard sail tents. Each tent

includes gauze sling doors which give 180-degree views of the surrounding bush.

SOMALISA EXPEDITIONSHwange National Park, Zimbabwe

Designed to replicate the vintage safari camps of a bygone era, Somalisa Expeditions

offers one of the most authentic ways to experience the exceptional wildlife haven of

Hwange National Park. The camp is perfect for travelers in search of a classic safari

adventure. It captures the ambiance of a mobile camp but with all the trimmings and

contemporary finishes.

All six Meru style tents are on slightly raised decking to take advantage of the views over

the savannah. The camp is beautifully designed while still maintaining an old-world charm

and authenticity. All the tents have en-suite bathrooms and in-room charging facilities

and the main area includes a lounge and dining room that overlooks a small elephant pool.

Huge herds of elephants come to drink from the pool daily, making up-close encounters

and photographic opportunities with these majestic animals endless.

Situated in the heart of the Matobo Hills, just outside the boundary of the national park lies

Khayelitshe House. Enclosed by the iconic balancing rocks and surrounded by a natural

amphitheatre of massive boulders, Khayelitshe House got its name from the Ndebele

words ‘Ekhaya’ and ‘Litshe’- Home in the Rocks. Khayelitshe House’s charm comes from

KANGA CAMPMana Pools National Park, Zimbabwe

Set in the remote part of the World Heritage Site of Mana Pools is the Kanga Pan. Kanga

Camp is situated around the Kanga Pan - the only permanent water source for a 20km

radius. This perennial water source teems with wildlife, especially in the dry season,

creating the perfect setting for our famous “Armchair Safari”. Unwind on the upper deck

lounge under the shade of a mahogany tree or sit on the deck by the splash pool and enjoy

Kanga - the old Africa in a new era.

The camp consists of six stylish Meru type tents. They are simple yet elegant, boasting

floor-to-ceiling mesh windows to let in ample natural light and a light breeze. All tents are

replete with fans, en-suite bathroom, flushing toilet, outdoor shower, hot running water

and a secluded veranda. Kanga has a family tent which boasts a wraparound terrace facing

Zambezi Expeditions, a semi-mobile camp situated at the Nkupi camping site, offers

one of the best ways to explore and experience Mana Pools on the banks of the mighty

Zambezi River. The legendary Mana Pools is known for its wildlife rich flood plains and

magnificent views of the Zambezi River. The river boasts some of Africa’s most amazing

adventure canoeing safaris and sport fishing, creating the perfect combination of beauty,

Six mini meru style tents are set along the riverside on the open flood plains where it is not

THORNTREE RIVER LODGELivingstone, Zambia

Thorntree River lodge is set in Zambia’s Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, just 20 minutes

from the famous Victoria Falls. The lodge has drawn inspiration from local customs and

cultures to create a modern and contemporary design with tented roof structures to

maintain the feel of Authentic Africa.

There are eight standard tented suites and two family suites that are situated along the

edge of the mighty Zambezi River. Each unit has its own indoor and outdoor bathroom as

well as a luxurious private plunge pool, deck and direct river view.

The main lodge consists of a lounge with an open dining area, where the fine dining

experience of African cuisine will come to life. The communal deck is set on the edge

of the stunning riverside and is home to a sunken boma area and infinity pool. Wooden

decking floats on the edge of the river and moves with the water levels to create an illusion

of sailing a boat.

Take advantage of a combination of wildlife, culture and adrenalin activities on offer in the

area. From our lodge in, we offer daily excursions to the Zambian side (and Zimbabwean

LINYANTI BUSH CAMP Linyanti Wildlife Reserve, Botswana

Linyanti Bush Camp an intimate tented camp situated on the banks of the Linyanti Marsh,

is the perfect place to explore the African wilderness. As the only source of water in the

dry months, the Linyanti Marsh is one of the most sought-after destinations in Northern

Botswana, boasting a great diversity of game and a peaceful atmosphere. Linyanti Bush

Camp offers a personalized safari experience on a private concession away from the

crowded tourist routes.

Six spacious tents incorporate en suite bathrooms and private decking where you can

sit and gaze out over the river and marshes beyond. The elevated communal area offers a

LINYANTI EBONYLinyanti Wildlife Reserve, Botswana

Built on raised decking overlooking the Linyanti Marsh, this intimate tented camp offers

stunning views and many exhilarating ways to explore the area. Linyanti Ebony is a

family-friendly safari camp where children of all ages are welcome. The camp includes

a 2 bedroom family tent and child specialist guides who tailor their safari activities for

LINYANTI EXPEDITIONSLinyanti Wildlife Reserve, Botswana

Linyanti Expeditions is a seasonal expeditions camp situated in a private concession

bordering the Chobe National Park. Linyanti Expeditions exudes a bygone era and is ideal

for safari goers looking for an authentic African Experience.

With only 6 tents, the camp has an intimate atmosphere, ensuring a personalized service

for each guest. The main area has two canvas-covered hubs; a dining area with an

exposed kitchen and an open lounge. As with most of our camps, the campfire is at the

centre, drawing guests to enjoy the authentic experience of the African bush outside.

Each room has en-suite bathrooms with chemical eco-friendly toilets and al fresco bucket

showers. The wow factor in the rooms is the ‘star suite’. Each tent has a gazebo extension,

where beds can be moved at night to give the experience of sleeping beneath a blanket of

glimmering stars, immersing yourself in the wonders of the wilderness while still staying

in the security of a mesh-enclosed area.

At night, guests are welcomed to the main tented area for a dining extravaganza with an

open fire. If guests are looking for a bit of down time, they can relax and enjoy exquisite

views overlooking the vast Linyanti Wetlands. The Chobe Enclave offers an abundance of

wildlife species including large herds of elephants and buffalo making for exhilarating

walking safaris which are the main focus at Linyanti Expeditions.

Set within the Okavango Delta’s community-run Khwai Concession, this beautiful camp

is tucked under the trees on the edge of the Khwai River. This river is all that separates the

iconic Moremi Game Reserve and the concession, with hippos, elephants and even lions

crossing over from time to time. Watching these animals manoeuvre through the water is

an exceptional experience for even the most travelled safari veterans.

The elegantly designed camp hosts six standard tents and one family unit, keeping in

MIGRATION EXPEDITIONS Nxai Pan National Park, Botswana

Nxai Pan is one of the best places to experience the longest Zebra migration that spans

from Namibia to the Nxai Pan covering over 1000km. The migration occurs in the protected
