The image was taken at a hotel lobby in Chicago.It took me three wedding sessions to take this shot. When I arrived at this hotel for the first wedding session, I immediately envisioned this finished image but the bride and groom were not inter-ested in spending a few minutes for a shot that not every couple will have. I was bummed. Then few months later I had anoth-er wedding session at the very same hotel and was hoping to get this shot. I was very excited but the wedding day madness threw everything off the schedule, the bridal party barely made it to the reception on time.

Finally on the third wed-ding, I worked with a couple who were ready to do anything I asked.

But there was a huge convention going on that day and all the eleva-tors were running up and down like crazy. I had to take charge and pos-sibly make some people not very happy, but I was determined.

I told the bride and maid-of-honor to take the elevator on the right and stop the elevator on the second floor. The maid-of-honor kept the elevator door open with the tip of her shoes. The groom and the best man did the same on third floor. All this time we communicated via cell phones to give directions to the bride and groom. I was calling the maid-of-honor cell phone to tell the bride to go a few inches to the right, when she moved too much I called again

etc. Same story with the groom. This was my time and I was going to get it right. While all this work being done, all other hotel guests were down to one elevator and that made the third elevator get in my shot by stop-ping at 2nd,3rd, 4th floors, creating distration. Having other guests in the final image was not something I was aiming for and I believe in getting it right in the camera as much as possible.

We all patiently waited for almost 10 minutes. I was setup with my Nikon DSLR and a 70-200 2.8 lens on a tripod. When the time was right, I took the shot. Then I converted the image to Black&White later on post.

As you can see the results were worth the effort:).

Edwin started his journey of wedding photography since end of year 2007. It all started while photo-graphing his children as a hobby. Realizing that he had talent for pho-tography, he attended a workshop on wed-ding photography. The workshop had a profound effect on him, filling him with great inspiration and emotion. This was when he realized his calling to go out and capture those special moments that last a lifetime!

Edwin is blessed with an uncanny ability to anticipate and adapt to changing moments of a live shoot. His relaxed and easy-going nature puts couples at ease which enables them to fully ex-press themselves. Edwin

is unobtrusive and allows the events to unfold, as they should whilst surrepti-tiously injecting some of his own direction. With a storyline crafted in his mind, Edwin goes out to find the deeply emotional moments that reflect the story of the day. Being the perfectionist that he is, Edwin believes that every minor detail is important loving glances, smiles and meaningful moments always captured and no tears left unseen.

Not one to be satisfied with his shots, Edwin al-ways strives to do better in the next shot. Edwin be-lieves that inspiration is all around us whether it is in the future or the past, we just need to tune into it.

More importantly, he firmly believes that a pho-tographer needs to be passionate about his work especially when mak-ing that crucial decision in shooting never-again events like a wedding. The effect of Edwins work on most of his clients has been emotionally pro-found, particularly upon seeing the finished com-pilation of their wedding photos. Preserve the essence of

those moments for future

memoriesWeddings present a dramatic canvas against which I do what I like to do-photograph people.

While Indian weddings are lively, colorful and dramatic, they are also extremely complicated affairs. Large crowds mill-ing about small spaces, even blocking out the couple; overdone deco-rations, clashing colors, bad lighting compound-ed by smoking fires, flocks of photographers (family, friends and hired guns) jostling for space, whimsi-cal priests, piles of random objects scattered around, confusion over what is to be done, when and by whom-- all make for high entertainment and chal-lenge.

Anbus effort in such situ-ations is to focus on the marriage taking place during the wedding-look-ing to capture precious moments as beautifully as he can; between the couple and around them, among the families, and in the numerous nuances that constitute the In-dian wedding. Hoping to preserve the essence of those moments for future memories.He is an artist by training, a designer by profession, and a photographer by aptitude. Given that Anbu is very social and yet can be an unobtru-sive presence, he is able to participate as well as capture the fleeting moments in a wedding ceremony that make for wonderful memories.

He also loves to bring ro-mance into his work, both in terms of subjects as well as treatment, and works with the couples to bring this aspect to the fore.He constantly tries to up-date himself; mainly sourc-ing inspiration, tips and techniques from other photographers all around the world and from the world wide web.

Since Macc was a young boy, he was very im-pressed with photograph because of the feeling and expression on the photos such as (hap-piness, sadness, anger, etc.). Rutsen Eagle is a 32 year old father of 3 (2 dogs included) and dedicated husband. Layla, their recent addition to the family, was born at home and Rutsen aspires to take her birth energy with him on this crazy path of life. The people in Rutsens life are his muse. His family IS photography. The goal is to make enough to pay the bills, keep a roof over their heads, have some food in bellies and maybe hit up the local restaurant for Brunch on Sundays after church.

Rutsen has been blessed with an eagle eye in capturing images. His style is mellow with emphasis on color and light. Natural light is what drives Rutsen to find his inspiration on a daily basis. Rutsen has been blessed with

awards for his artwork. These include: voted Richmond Best by Rich-mond Magazine readers, Wedding Wire rated best in the Richmond Met-ropolitan Area for 2012, voted Best of by the Knot magazine in 2013 and he also received the Brides choice award for 2012-2013. Rutsen was invited to photograph the NBC dream wedding and received recognition by the The Pilsner Urquell International Photography Awards Competition for his work.

Rutsens love of photog-raphy does not stop at I do. He also shoots fash-ion and sports photog-raphy. The most recent achievement includes working with the NFL. Rutsen was asked by Rus-sell Wilson, Rookie of the

Year and quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks, to photograph his wedding. When Rutsen asked him why he chose Eagle Eye, Russel replied, You have a great style, attitude to-wards work and life, and you love your family.

Along with the NFL, Rutsen has also been privileged to work with ABC on a televised studio shoot for The Bachelor.

The love of photography began as a young kid watching Rutsens grand-father operate his old rig. This passion started at this time and only contin-ues to grow and develop. Every shoot is a challenge. Rutsen LIVES for the chal-lenge!.

Weddings - Neil never tires of them. Even after more than 25 years in the business and having photographed well over 1000 he still gets the buzz and excitement as he did when I first started. Its the unpredictability and the fact that no two are the same.

Neil works by pure instinct and adrenaline and is why he is more suited to wedding photography than say studio or product photography.

His style has just evolved naturally and although Neil looks at other photog-raphers work for inspira-tion he never goes out to copy or clone. Neil shoots in a purely documentary style with absolutely no posing or directing.

He travels throughout the UK and in recent years had shot weddings in Portugal, The Netherlands, Spain and even as far as Australia.
