NEWSLETTER FALL 2014

For submissions to the newsletter email [email protected]. In the subject line, put NEWSLETTER and specifically what you are sending. Thank you.

1.  Everyone should have received a new card showing CAREMARK/CVS as the new pharmacy benefit manager.  If your pharmacist tells you that your insurance benefits were termed July 30, then they are still using the old card.  Make sure the pharmacy knows you are now on Caremark/CVS.

2.  With the new pharmacy plan, ALL compounded medications require prior-authorization.  That does not mean the compound won’t be covered.  But it does mean your physician’s office has to call for prior approval before prescribing the medication.  It is a fairly simple process:   The prescribing doctor will need to contact the Caremark Prior Authorization phone number: 1-800-294-5979. 3.  With the new pharmacy plan, ADD medications are only covered for participants under age 19.  Again, this doesn’t mean your medication won’t be covered.  It just means you need to take an extra step and have your physician’s office call for prior authorization.   Again, the prescribing physician will need to call 1-800-294-5979.

CareQuick RibbonCutting

Camellia Healthcare is proud to present CareQuick Urgent Care. CareQuick had their ribbon-cutting ceremony August 27th, 2014. The Area Development Partnership (ADP) came and gave CareQuick a warm welcome to the Hattiesburg community. The ADP representatives took a tour of the facility and were truly astonished. “This facility is so great! It’s definitely not your average clinic,” said Haley White, ADP Membership Coordinator.

Wade Wicht, Executive Director of CareQuick, thanked Camellia for the hard work and dedication that went in to opening the clinic. Abb Payne, President and CEO, also gave thanks for all of the hard work from Camellia Healthcare that went making CareQuick a possibility.
