Weareproudtopresentthefantasticselectionofartgalleriesanddealerstakingpartinthefair,eachofthemshowcasinganimpressivevarietyofhighqualityworkfromtheirportfoliosofrepresentedartistsfromUKandaroundtheworld.Theircombinedknowledgeandexperience will ensure that you are able to find theperfectpieceofarttosuityouandyourneeds,evenifyoudon’tknowwhatyouarelookingforyet!

Therewillbehighqualitymodernartfromtheearlytwentiethcentury,allthewaythroughtochallenging,contemporaryworkbysomeoftoday’sleadinginternationalartistsatarangeofprices.ManyoftheexhibitorsofferleasingpackagesforbusinessesandothersparticipateintheArtsCouncil‘OwnArt’scheme,soyoucanpayfortheartyoulovebyinstalments.

LocalArtists,suchastheworld-renownedSculptorLaurenceBroderickfromWaresleyandCambridge-basedSculptorMelFraserwillberepresentedatthefair,alongsidemanyestablishedUKArtists,suchasTraceyEmin,DamienHirstandSirPeterBlakeandmanymorebesidesfromallovertheworld.

Itwastwoyearsagothatweembarkedonthisjourneytocreateanhigh-quality,internationalartfairinthecentreofCambridge.But,youknowwhattheysay,‘time flies when you’re

ArtandarchitecturealwaysgowelltogetherandCambridge,withsomeofthemostbeautifulandrecognisablearchitectureinBritain,isnowhosttoafantasticdisplayofmodernandcontemporaryartbysomeofthebestartistsfromBritainandabroadattheinauguralCambridgeCityArtFair2013inNovember.

Duringthefourdaysoftheartfair,theexperiencedgalleriesanddealerswhorepresenttheseartistsandsculptorswillpresentartofsuchqualityandvarietythattheywillnotfailtostimulatethemindsofthevisitors,whateverone’staste.

This is a first for Cambridge city- to experience somuchwonderfulanddiverseartfromsomanyplacesaroundtheworld-hereinoneplace,theGuildhall,at the same time. Thisissurelyanopportunitynottobemissed.

Man’s ideas reflect the mood of the now.

Artistsinterpretandexpresstheirthoughtsinsomanydifferentways,notonlyinpaintorbronze,butwithamultitudeofothermaterialsandideas.Artmakeslifesomuchricher,especially when acquired for our homes, offices, churchesandlandscapes.

IknowthattheCambridgeCityArtFairhasbeenindevelopmentforaconsiderableperiodoftime-agreatdealofefforthasbeenspentbytheorganiserstoattractdealersandgallerieswithexcellentreputationstoshowtheirportfolioshereinCambridge.

I do hope you enjoy the art fair and find a new pieceofarttoenrichyourlife.

LaurenceLaurence Broderick ARBS FRSA is a highly-respected British sculptor who divides his time between studios in Waresley, Cambridgeshire and The Isle of Skye in the Scottish Highlands. His best known work is ‘The Bull’, a public sculpture erected in 2003 at the Bull Ring, Birmingham- see image below. His work consists largely of figurative carvings in stone and editions in bronze and is available to view and buy via Lilford Gallery on Stands L04/05.
