The FMSH hosts several scientific platforms whose themes seek to meet the major challenges of thecontemporaryworld.TheHumanitarianStudiesscienceplatformprovidesanenvironmentfordialogueanddebatebetweenresearchersfromalldisciplinesandthoseworkingintheaidfield,aimedatsupportingandpromotingresearchonhumanitarianaid.Itisanopenplatformanditencouragesthedecompartmentalizationofprofessionalcirclesandthedialoguebetweenresearchers,NGOs,foundationsandgovernmentbodies.TheHumanitarianStudiesplatformhasbegunaseriesofresearchprojectswhichinthelong-termshouldhelptoestablishaninformalnetworkofresearchersonhumanitarianaidandandtoaccompanythemajorissuesandmutationsofcontemporaryworlds.

By fostering discussion, debate, seminars, researchprojects andpublications, theplatform is acting as astimulusforharnessing,producinganddisseminatingknowledge.FMSHPublicationshasalreadylaunchedacollectionofworks,Le(bien)commun[Thecommon(good)],largelydevotedtotheresearchandfindingstheplatformisgenerating.
