"This is my commandment, that you love one another just as I have loved you". John 13:12 In a world where people feel isolated and alone, our school is very pleased to be a part of a unique and loving community. Being in a loving community helps us in many ways. We have friends to encour- age us when we are down, someone to help us when we struggle with a problem and we get opportunities to love others that may not be easy for us to love. And on the flip side, they get to love us with our flaws and faults too. Love God. Love People. That is what Jesus calls us into. Paul sums it up well in this passage: "Do nothing out of rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves, let each of you look not only to his own interest, but also the interest of others". (Philippians 2:3-4) Jesus is our Lord, and we are totally sold out to Him. He must be the Captain of our words, actions, thoughts, he must be the Lord of how we treat people. It is a challenge, but one that brings beauty and hope to all of our relationships . Julie-Anne Wagstaffe

Values Topic Term 4: Responsibility Showing Commitment

Showing commitment is about being faithful and sticking with something

no matter what. God is committed to us. He is always faithful. He asks us

to commit our hearts to Him and to stick with Him no matter what. We

can also show commitment by sticking with our responsibilities even

when we don’t want to. We can be committed to people by being a loyal

friend who sticks by their friends no matter what.

“A faithful person will be richly blessed.” Prov 28:20

“The Servant Song”

Brother, sister let me serve you.

Let me be as Christ to you.

Pray that I might have the grace

To let you be my servant, too.

We are pilgrims on a journey.

We are brothers on the road.

We are here to help each other

Walk the mile and bear the load.

I will hold the Christ-light for you

In the night time of your fear.

I will hold my hand out to you;

Speak the peace you long to hear.

I will weep when you are weeping.

When you laugh, I’ll laugh with you.

I will share your joy and sorrow

Till we’ve seen this journey through.

When we sing to God in heaven,

We shall find such harmony

Born of all we’ve known together

Of Christ’s love and agony.

Brother, sister let me serve you.

Let me be as Christ to you.

Pray that I might have the grace

To let you be my servant, too.
