Water changed to wineThere was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there. Both Jesus and His disciples had been invited. When they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.”Jesus said to her, “Leave it to Me to decide what to do. My time is not yet come.” Jesus’ mother said to the servants, “Do whatever He says.”
There were set out six water pots of stone, each containing twenty to thirty gallons. Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the water pots with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. And he said to them, “Draw some water out now, and take it to the governor of the feast.”
When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not from where it was (but the servants which drew the water knew), the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, and said to him, “Every man at the beginning serve the best wine first wine; and when men have well drunk, he serves the ordinary wine: but you have kept the good wine until now.”
This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth is glory; and His disciples believed on him.
John chapter 2, verses 1 through 11.
All scriptures are paraphrased from the American King James Version.
