The area of Caesarea Philippi is one of supreme natu-

ral beauty. How we delight in seeing it over and over again

and remembering that, while visiting Caesarea Philippi and

walking beside the water, our Lord Jesus Christ asked His

disciples who they thought He was (Mt. 16:13-17; Mk. 8:27-

30). Simon Peter for the first time declared that Jesus was

the Messiah. O the love of God that had drawn Peter to the

Messiah, for Jesus said, “Flesh and blood hath not revealed

it unto thee, but My Father which is in heaven” (Mt. 16:17).

“Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore

with lovingkindness have I drawn thee (Jer. 31:3).
