SUPPLIES¼ yard of fabric

Polyester fiberfill

Hand sewing needle

Thread

Mini ceramic flowerpot

Hot glue & glue gun (optional)

PREP ITCopy and trace six cacti templates from the pattern

insert onto fabric; cut out the pattern pieces.

Place two cacti right sides together, aligning the edges. Repeat to make three pairs; pin.

SEW ITUse ¼" seam allowances unless otherwise noted.

Stitch the cacti perimeter, leaving the lower edge free (1). Repeat to stitch the remaining cacti pairs. turn each cacti right side out; press.

Stack all three cacti; pin together.

Stitch a vertical line down the cacti center (2).

Stuff all six sections with fiberfill, leaving ½" free along the open lower edge. Whipstitch the lower edges closed.

Place a handful of fiberfill into the flowerpot. Position the cactus ends into the stuffing. If desired, use hot glue to secure the ends to the fiberfill. Add rocks around the cactus base for decoration and to help secure the cactus.

Cactus Cuties

SUPPLIES2" square of fabric

Steel wool

cUT ITCut out a circle from the fabric.

SEW ITHand stitch a long running stitch along the circle perimeter, leaving a long thread tail (A).

Place steel wool in the circle center. Pull the thread tail taut to gather the circle around the steel wool; knot the thread ends.

Hand stitch the flower to the cactus upper point, making sure at least one stitch goes up through the flower center and back down.
