HARDWARE
Due to its modularity and scalability, SLV Platform
allows the integration of innumerous and optional
components of hardware, which may be adapted according
to the demands and needs of the customer: traffic lights,
barriers, positioning sensors, information panels, LCD
screens, Vehicle Number Plate Recognition, etc.
SLV Platform self-service kiosks may also be customized,
among others, with the following components: touch
screen (color or black and white), printer (thermal or
laser), short/long range RFID reader, card/tag collector,
intercom, traffic lights, pushbuttons, etc.
SOFTWARE
SLV Platform was designed to be operated in three different modes:
Automatic mode – Automatic management of the dispatching
and reception processes, without operators and with speed,
security and accuracy; the truck drivers perform the operations
in self-service mode interacting with the SLV Platform kiosks
and using the RFID tag for identification;
Manual mode – Manual processes performed by the operators
using well- defined and tailored frontends, through a PC or
a mobile device (PDA/handheld, Smartphone, tablet, etc.);
Mixed mode – Combination of both manual and automatic
processes in different areas.

SLV PLATFORM ARCHITECTURE
SLV Platform is a web-based and a centralized solution which uses
TCP/IP technologies for communication between all the
components installed in the plant. This architecture
brings great benefits for the customers, because SLV
Platform will run on top of the existing LAN and WAN
networks in the plant and ensures a fast and smooth
installation, without the need of expensive and
dedicated infrastructures.
The communication between SLV Platform server and all
hardware and software components is managed by the
SLV Platform core modules, abstracting the complexity
of the communication and control protocols.
INTEGRATION WITH ERP
SLV Platform can be integrated with the customer’s
ERP, which can be achieved for local and remote ERP
servers, using standard and proven integration
technologies. Both systems can communicate, exchange
and validate business data related with the dispatching
and reception processes.
The integration between the two systems can be
performed in online and offline modes using preferably
Web Services and RFC, which are synchronous and
standard technolog ies for the integrat ion of
heterogeneous systems.
Cachapuz has decades of experience in industrial plants
projects with ERP integration, creating self-service
solutions to manage dispatching and reception
processes 24 hours per day, 7 days per week with no
data loss.
