Cabrillo Tower’s horizontal sewer drain lines, inconveniently encased in deep concrete in the ceiling of thecondominium’s parking garage, experienced chronic leaking. The property manager did not know what to do about
these aged pipes, because a traditional re-pipe would be impossible. He was relieved to learn about Nu Flow’s
trenchless, Pull-in-Place structural lining - it proved to be the ideal solution

system’s main line with our no-dig structural lining
technology.
Customer and Site: Cabrillo Tower HOA consists of
the residents of Cabrillo Tower, a lavish 15-story high-
rise condominium perched on the beach in Coronado,
California. Cabrillo Tower is the oldest of 10 largeluxury condos built on Coronado Beach.
System: All of the horizontal cast iron sewer pipes
located in the parking garage and the 10” cast iron
sewer main line. The horizontal sewer lines penetrate
through 4- or 5-foot-thick concrete slabs in the walls
and ceilings and consist of 3”, 4”, 6” and 8” diameters.
All pipes are the originals that have been on the
property since the condominium was built in 1970.
Situation: Corrosion and old age caused the horizontal
cast iron drain pipes in the condo’s parking garage
to leak. Since the pipes pass through thick concreteslabs without protective sleeving, a traditional re-pipe
was impossible. The customer was approached by Nu
Flow and was happy to hear that we have a solution to
his unique problem that he otherwise could not solve.
Solution: Nu Flow rehabilitated the sewer pipes in the
parking garage by using existing access points. The
structural lining, installed with our patented trenchless
technology, covers the cracks and is a long-term
protective solution against future corrosion and leaks.
Cabrillo Tower decided to have Nu Flow line the building’s 10” main line as well for preventative measures. Thismain line is located beneath the parking garage and common grounds, so Nu Flow saved the customer from future
headaches, expenses and destruction.
The job was performed without any major disruption to the tenants or the functioning of the parking garage. There
was one technicality that occurred during the scope of the work, but the property manager said Nu Flow technicians
responded in an excellent manner. A full crew was sent immediately and the technicians stayed at the job site until
the problem was completely xed.
