PATTERN CUTTING: Use a sharp pair of fabric scissors or a rotary cutter to cut your pattern pieces. Then, use pattern weights or straight pins to secure the paper pattern pieces to your fabric. Just make sure to try and cut without lifting the pattern and fabric from your cutting table. (And don’t forget to transfer all of your markings before removing the paper!)

Choose nine 5” squares for the Outer Border.
Choose four 5” squares for the Cabin Corners.
Choose four 5” squares for the Star Points.
Choose one 5” squares for the Cabin Corner Centers.
Cutting Instructions
From the Background fabric, cut:(2) 14” x 20½” rectangles
(4) 2½” x 8½” rectangles
(4) 2” squares
(4) 2” x 3½” rectangles
(1) 7¼” squareCut twice diagonally
Trim the four Star Center fabric squares to:(4) 3½” squares
Trim the four Star Point fabric squares to:(4) 37/8” squares
Cut once on the diagonal to create eight triangles
From the four Cabin Corner fabric squares, cut:(1) 2½” x 4½” rectangle
(1) 2½” square
From the one Cabin Corner Center fabric square, cut:(4) 2½” squares
From the nine Outer Border fabric squares, cut:(18) 2½” x 4½” rectangles
IMPORTANT NOTE:Begin by sorting your charm squares:

Block AssemblySTEP 1Stitch the four Star Center 3½” squares together to make a four-patch. Square to 6½”.
Square to 6½”
STEP 2Stitch two Star Point 37/8” triangles to one Background fabric 7¼” triangle. Trim to 3½” x 6½”. Make four units.
Square to 3½”, Make four units
Make four units
STEP 3Stitch one Cabin Corner Center 2” square and one Background fabric 2” square together. Add one Background fabric 2” x 3½” rectangle. Square to 3½”. Make four units.
STEP 4Combine the units to complete the star. Square to 12½".

STEP 5Add the Cabin Corner units and the Background fabric 2½" x 8½" rectangles as shown. Square to 16½"

STEP 5Turn right side out and stuff with your pillow form.
STEP 3Place each rectangle on the quilt block, right sides together. Center will overlap.
Square to 20½”
STEP 4Stitch together around the outside edge using a ¼" seam. Stitch again, just outside the first stitching and in the seam allowance.
STEP 2Take a 1" hem on one 14" side of each Background fabric 14" x 20½" rectangle.

Finishing the PillowSTEP 1Layer with the batting and lining, baste, and quilt as desired. Square to 20½".
Adding the BorderSTEP 1Arrange the outer border pieces in a pleasing manor and add to the block. Square to 20½".
