PVC INSULATED INDUSTRIAL CABLES
Havells FR (Flame Retardent) Insulated Cables for wiring purpose.
Havells FR-LSH (Flame Retardant Low Smoke and Halogen) InsulatedCables
FR-LSH Flexible cables are recommended for use in places with highhuman concentration like high rise buildings, offices, shopping malls, hospitals etc.
Havells FR-LSH insulated cables are made from specially formulated PVCPolymers that restrict the toxic gases and smoke as they are
self extinguishing and do not allow the fire to spread.
Havells ZHLS Insulated Cables (Zero Halogen Low Smoke) Life Shield This breakthrough comes as a result of the efforts of our R&D Centre at the
Alwar plant. Our engineers have developed a special compound which haspractically 0% halogen content & has a very high oxygen index.

WHY
-
7/31/2019 Cabel & Wire
16/29
Compactness of Conductor
Mechanical strength is the mostcritical aspects of conductor designHavell's guarantees more then
93% compactness of conductor
The conductor is made from 100%EC grade scratch free
aluminium/copper to ensureexcellent conductivity and
minimised electrical stress.

CABLE DESIGN
Conductor screening, Insulation, Insulation screening -At Havells we use German Triple Cross-Head to apply all
the three layers in one single process to ensure no air gapand therefore low leakage.

BEDDING
We use extruded inner sheath as a standard companypolicy to improve hygroscopic properties of the cable & to
provide uniform bedding for better armour placement.

ARMOUR COVERAGE
Havells Cables have the best armour coverage. Weguarantee more than 90% coverage of armour. We use
only ISI mark strips & wires. This ensures minimumresistance to fault current in case of short circuit.

MANUFACTURING INFRASTURCTUR
State-of-the-art CCV Line Curing process is one of the most crucial aspect of cable
performance. We use one of the best CCV Line to ensure
uniform curing of XLPE insulation.
Drum twister laying-up machine
Havells is among a hand full of companies world wide to
possess such a large drum twister. It allows us the flexibility
to provide longer cable lengths & excellent compactness ofdesign.

CURING PROCESS
What is curing?
Polyethylene is a thermoplastic material consisting of longchain of hydrocarbon molecules. At elevated temperaturesthese molecules tend to mover relative to one another so
material becomes increasingly deformable and will
eventually melt at a temperature around 110 degree C.
The process of cross-linking or vulcanisation, consists of
producing chemical bonds at intervals between the long
molecular chains to give a ladder effect which preventsslippage between molecules and results in good thermal
form stability.
