ROOTJOBS PROBLEM IN SIMULATION
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
This PTF fixes a problem that limits the acceptable size of
a job list in the ROOTJOBS parameter of the SIMULATE
command. With this problem the list cannot exceed 255
characters. If it is longer, simulation results in
error message 2062E.
SYMPTOMS:
Simulation results in 2062E error
IMPACT:
Simulation does not work when the ROOTJOB parameter
is longer that 255 characters

UNNECESSARY LMP AUTHORIZATION BY CCCHK STEP
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
z/OS agent customers may see the following message
CAS9180E - CPU xxxxxx REQUIRES A LMP KEY TO RUN PROD (WT)
in the log of the job submitted by z/OS agent.
This is caused by the CCCHK step performing authorization against LMP keys

ESP FAILS TO OPEN A VSAM DATA SET
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
ESP fails to open an operational VSAM data set if the data set is
shared (SHR) and was previously used as NOSHR or was directly
restored from a backup file. The problem is caused by a missing DVSI
record that is used by ESP for ensuring synchronization between ESP
master/proxy subsystems. The DVSI record is now added during data
set open if necessary.
SYMPTOMS:
One of the following messages will be displayed:
*ESP860S INDEX DATA SET xxxx UNUSABLE
*ESP880S JOB INDEX DATA SET xxxx UNUSABLE
*ESP751S DATASET xxxx NOW PLACED IN SUSPENDED STATE
ESP does not start for the first two messages and the third message
will cause the affected EVENTSET to stay in a suspended state.
IMPACT:
ESP will not start or an EVENTSET will stay in suspended state.
CIRCUMVENTION:
A single subsystem environment (master only) workaround is to set
sharing option for the affected file to NOSHR and also change
the option for QUEUE data set to NOSHR as well.
In other cases ESP must first format new data sets that create the
needed DVSI record and only then old data can be copied over to the newly
formatted data set.

COMPLETED APPLICATIONS OVERWRITTEN IN APPLFILE
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Completed applications can have some, but not all
of their slots in the APPLFILE data set overlaid
by another application. On rare occasions a
subsystem or Workstation Server may fail to detect
a completed application APPLFILE slot overlay.
When this occurs, the subsystem or Workstation
Server may abend, usually with code S0C4, if the
overlaid application is accessed.
This fix protects a completed application from
APPLFILE slot overlay by another application. When
the oldest completed application's APPLFILE slots
are required by a new application, all the
completed application's slots will be freed, and
the application will no longer be accessible.
SYMPTOMS:
Subsystem or Workstation Server abend.
IMPACT:
Subsystem or WorkStation Server outage.
CIRCUMVENTION:
If PTF RO59341 has been applied, then batch utility CYBESUT1 can periodically
be run to report applications with APPLFILE slot overlays that can
potentially crash the subsystem or Workstation Server. If any are found, then
CYBESUT1 can be rerun specifying the REPAIR parameter. This will cause
completed applications with the potential to crash the subsystem or
Workstation Server, due to undetected APPLFILE slot overlays by other
applications, to be marked unusable.

LOADAGDF INITIALIZATION STATEMENT IF_NOT_IN_COMMQ OPERAND
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A new optional keyword operand, IF_NOT_IN_COMMQ, has been added to the
LOADAGDF initialization statement. If specified, LOADAGDF is only processed
if an agent definition table is not already present in the COMMQ data set.
This prevents an overlay of the current agent definition table in the COMMQ
data set, by the LOADAGDF statement's AGENTDEF data set specifications, when
the user does not want such an overlay. If the IF_NOT_IN_COMMQ operand is
omitted in the LOADAGDF initialization statement, then LOADAGDF is processed
regardless of whether or not an agent definition table is present in the
COMMQ data set.
Note:
The IF_NOT_IN_COMMQ operand only applies to the LOADAGDF initialiation
statement, not to the LOADAGDF operator command.
SYMPTOMS:
There was no completely sound method of telling ESP or z/OS agent to only
process a LOADAGDF initialization statement if no agent definition table
was present in the COMMQ data set.
IMPACT:
See SYMPTOMS section above.

INVALIDATE ONE GENERATION OF APPLICATION
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
It can happen that ESP task cannot be started
because of a corrupted ATR. Usually, the remedy would be
to delete the B record of the associated application.
This approach has a disadvantage because after the deletion,
all generations of the affected application are lost.
This fix introduces a new command INVAL that can be used in
UTIL mode to invalidate just one generation of the application:
//UTILITY JOB

---------------------------------------------------------------------
JOBONCSF is a REXX function available under ESP.
Normally, it returns a number of jobs in CSF that
match a specified name criteria. However, if there
is an error (for example, incorrect input parameters),
the function would not return any value at all,

Completed applications can be overlaid in APPLFILE
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Completed applications can have some, but not all
of their slots in the APPLFILE data set overlaid
by another application. On rare occasions a
subsystem or Workstation Server may fail to detect
a completed application APPLFILE slot overlay.
When this occurs, the subsystem or Workstation

This fix protects a completed application from

SCHEDULE STATEMENT WAS WRONGLY REMOVED
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Rescheduling an event by a calendar change may
cause removing schedule statements from the event
definition. It can happen when the event has
multiple schedule statements.
The following example illustrates this problem:
1. Assuming today is Monday, define an event with
these schedules:

2. Define a new holiday for Tuesday and reschedule
the calendar:
DEFINE MYHOL START(TOMORROW) RESCHEDULE
