Winds of Change Within the Consortium What is new?
Becoming a 501(c)(3) 501(c)(3) = tax exempt or a charitable organization MCC will not operate as a foundation, but grants may be awarded Structure established to support 501(c)(3) status and Cancer Plan Need to seek grant funding and grant writing support
What will remain unchanged?Consortium – Latin word - an association of two or more individuals, parties, organizations, etc (or any combination of these entities) with the objective of participating in a common activity or pooling their resources for achieving a common goal.
Why Change?
Growing beyond Maine Comprehensive Cancer Control Program and Maine CDC support
