Ambient vision and environmental perception during locomotion

Ambient vision vs. object perception
Environmental perception during locomotion
(a) The environment contains far more and complex information than object.
(b) The environmental information is obtained through all senses.
(d) The environment itself has no boundary in space or time.
(e) The environmental information is received through active exploration
(f) The environmental information lies not only in central but also in
peripheral area of the sight.
(c) The environmental information includes cognitive, emotional, aesthetic meaning
Characteristics of Environment Perception as contrasted with Object Perception( Ittelson, W.* Environment perception, in W. Ittelson et al (eds.) An Introduction to Environmental Psychology, pp. 102-109, 1977)
