(June 2019)

Large cities and agglomerations are developing massively.

A United Nations study claims that by 2030, 60% of the world’s population will be living in urban areas.

This will rise to 70% by 2050.

This increase in urbanization implies the birth of political and lifestyle changes including the development of green

transportation solutions and car-sharing services.

However, current solutions cannot meet the challenges and opportunities resulting from increasing urban flows.

Autonomous vehicles are the most relevant solution for meeting the new challenges

facing the world’s cities.

Navly#LYON - FRANCE

Two AUTONOM SHUTTLES are operating on the open road in the city of Lyon, carrying people along the river.

The NAVLY trial is led by NAVYA and KEOLIS and is supported by The Métropole de Lyon and Sytral (responsible for all transport solutions in the Lyon Metropolitan area).

The route is 1.3 kilometer long with five stops that serve different areas of the Confluence’s district.

PostBus#SION - SWITZERLAND

Two AUTONOM SHUTTLES are operating in Sion’s town

centre in real traffic conditions.

PostBus (CarPostal), the leading bus company in Switzerland’s public transport network, offers residents

and visitors the opportunity to be carried by driverless shuttles every day except Mondays.

Masdar City#ABU DHABI - UNITED ARAB EMIRATES

Masdar City is an “eco-city” of Abu Dhabi, positioning itself as a leader

in renewable energy in the region. Used from Sunday to Thursday by 4,500 residents and workers, the AUTONOM SHUTTLES connect

Masdar City’s car park area to the city centre. Customized to mitigate the effects of the Gulf’s extreme heat, the autonomous shuttles

service crosses public roads communicating with traffic lights using V2X technology. Commissioned by the city for a period of at least 3 years, seven AUTONOM SHUTTLES will be deployed in

the coming months, and will then be considered as one of the most important autonomous vehicles project in the Middle East.

Rac Intellibus#PERTH - AUSTRALIA

Two AUTONOM SHUTTLES are operating on the open road in Perth.

Thanks to its shuttles, the Royal Automobile Club of Australia is helping members of the community, government and the industry itself to consider the potential impact and opportunities of automated vehicle technology.

Chalmers University#GOTHENBURG - SWEDEN

One AUTONOM SHUTTLE, operated by Autonomous Mobility on

1.2km open road, is serving Chalmers University of Technology but also a library, passing through Johanneberg Science Park until the

main entrance convention centre.

The project, financed by Vinnova, is led by RISE, Research Institute of Sweden, which aims is to implement electric and

shared transport solutions to contribute to a sustainable city development. AUTONOM SHUTTLES are contributing to

densification of the public transport system of the city.

Autonomous Shuttles La Défense

#PARIS LA DÉFENSE - FRANCE

Three AUTONOM SHUTTLES are circulating in the most visited business district in Europe! The AUTONOM SHUTTLES service

is operating all week long through the district of La Défense which hosts more than 500,000 visitors daily!

This service, offered by the IDF Mobilités, KEOLIS, NAVYA and PARIS LA DÉFENSE, is free during all the experimentation.

Since July 2017

University of Salford#SALFORD - UNITED KINGDOM

One AUTONOM SHUTTLE is operating during weekdays, at Salford University to transport students and visitors. It serves the School of Computing Sciences and Engineering, the School of Environment and Life Sciences and Salford University Energy House. As part of the development of Greater Manchester’s transport network, this autonomous shuttle service will provide a link between the University of Salford’s main campus and Media City, where the university’s second campus is located. Transport for Greater Manchester and Salford City Council are partners in the project to prepare the large-scale deployment of autonomous vehicles within the city’s transport network.

Mcity#MICHIGAN - USA

In Ann Arbor (USA), NAVYA has joined forces with the University of Michigan’s Mobility Transformation Center (MTC) to bring the first AUTONOM SHUTTLE. These two completely electric, 100% driverless, autonomous shuttles operate at Mcity, the University of Michigan’s world-renowned research center and proving ground for autonomous vehicles.

On Private Sites

Tepco#FUKUSHIMA - JAPAN

TEPCO has put into service a fleet of three AUTONOM SHUTTLES within The Fukushima Power Plant in partnership with SB Drive and Mitsui & Co., Ltd. with the objective to improve mobility within the site which is

one of the world’s largest power plants. Employees and visitors benefit from this 100% autonomous and electric service on a 5.6 kilometers

route. The shuttles are operating in traffic on site and have to deal with many intersections. This is the first instance where autonomous

shuttles operate as a transport service on a private site in Japan.

WKCDA#HONG-KONG - CHINA

In Hong Kong, residents and visitors of West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA) have the opportunity

to ride aboard one AUTONOM SHUTTLE which circulates in the Nursery Park. The aim of the WKCDA is to provide

barrier-free access and facilities for all and the AUTONOM SHUTTLE provides street-level pedestrian connectivity

within the District.

Scheemda Hospital Province of Groningen#SCHEEMDA – NETHERLANDS

One AUTONOM SHUTTLE is completing the local transport offer by connecting on an 850m route the entrance of Scheemda Hospital with the nearest bus stop, travelling on private and public roads, even crossing a roundabout.

During this six-month project, the province of Groningen wants to evaluate the operation of the shuttle and study the reaction of passengers before starting a permanent operation.
