OVERVIEW

The 5th Annual International Convention SGVU – C3W is being organized in the month of 9-11 Feb, 2018. The aim to disseminate and advance knowledge by providing instructional, research and extension facilities in such branches of earning as it may deem fit and it shall endeavor to provide academicians and industrial pool for the necessary atmosphere and facilities for the promotion of Climate and water crisis importance and need among youth. C3W 2018 seeks to involve Academicians (Students, Researchers and Faculties), Industrial leaders and general public in Climate change and water crisis work to give exposure to this pool of public of issues which are faced by nation, and their challenges. C3W 2018 will impart awareness on social as well as developmental issues among community.

ABOUT THE CENTRE

Geoinformatics is an important technology for the management of resources. Geoinformatics is a modern discipline which integrates acquisition, modelling, analysis and management of spatially referenced data i.e. data identified according to their locations. The aim of the course is to provide in depth understanding of remote sensing, satellite image analysis, geographic information system (GIS) and GNSS technologies and their applications in various fields such as agriculture and soils, forestry & ecology, geosciences, water resources, marine & atmospheric sciences, urban & regional studies, large scale mapping etc. The centre offers Ph.D., M.Tech and M.Sc. programs in Geoinformatics.
