CHILDREN IN NEED APPEAL
Thanks to your generous support at our bonfire night, the village hall has sent a cheque for £201.94 to the Children In Need Appeal. We have taken on board your
comments and hopefully next year it will be even better!
CROXTON CHURCH NEWS
There was a good congregation in Church for Remembrance Sunday and it was much appreciated that the Army, Navy and Air Force were all represented. After two minutes silence to remember all those who gave their lives for our freedom, poppies
were laid on the War Memorial. The WW1 Memorial Book is now in the Church - there are soft copies which can be borrowed for home reading. Our thanks go to Rollmark Printers for its generosity in
subsidising the printing and particularly to Andy Poore for organising this for us. A collection of £125 was sent to the charity Combat Stress.
The PCC has decided to move the War Memorial back to its original place in the South Aisle which will also mean putting the electronic organ in the Vestry. We
would like to do this in Jan/Feb time - help will be needed! The idea is to make more space at the back of the Church and create space and a remembrance area around
the Memorial.
Christmas will soon be here! Our traditional village Carol Service will be on SUNDAY DECEMBER 6th at 6.30pm. We shall have an organist which will be
lovely! Afterwards there will be time to have our usual party while we enjoy mulled-wine and mince pies. The Village Hall Committee are generously providing the wine
and Sandra and Bob Emberton the mince pies.
There will be a service of Holy Communion on Christmas Eve at 10.00pm.
Croxton, Brettenham & Kilverstone Joint Neighbourhood Plan
The results of the questionnaire circulated to every household in the Parish Council
areas of Croxton, Brettenham & Kilverstone, will be posted on the Croxton Parish
Council within the next few days.
Part I will show the analysis of responses to each question in the questionnaire in bar
charts form reflecting percentage answers, by parish, on a first past the post basis
(i.e. no weighting). Part II will show a synopsis of all the free text answers/
comments.
The next stage in the process is to use this information to start drafting the plan. It is
hoped to have the draft ready for public consultation around July 2016.

VODAFONE RURAL SURE SIGNAL PROGRAMME #ROSS100
CROXTON, REEPHAM AND BLAKENEY ARE THE LATEST COMMUNITIES TO RECEIVE ENHANCED MOBILE COVERAGE
Croxton and Reepham in Norfolk are the latest communities to be connected in Vodafone’s Rural Open Sure Signal programme
The ROSS units in Croxton and Reepham are already supporting more than 2,500 data sessions a day
Part of approximately £2 billion Vodafone is spending on its UK network and services across 2014 and 2015
Vodafone UK has announced the beautiful rural communities of Croxton and Reepham (Norfolk) as the latest communities in a rural mobile not-spot location to receive 3G coverage with Vodafone’s Rural Open Sure Signal
(ROSS) programme. They join four other communities across Norfolk, including High Kelling, Hillington and Upper Sheringham, which are already live with 3G mobile signal as part of the ROSS programme. Blakeney, which went live in autumn 2014 as part of the ROSS trial, has had another unit installed in the village to broaden the reach of
the existing coverage. Vodafone has also brought 3G coverage to two Norfolk pubs as part of our Rural Community Pub pilot programme –The Mermaid Inn (Elsing) and The Cross Keys (Dilham).
Situated in the beautiful Norfolk countryside, Croxton and Reepham have until now suffered from unreliable mobile
Situated in the beautiful Norfolk countryside, Croxton and Reepham have until now suffered from unreliable mobile coverage
and slow network speeds across all mobile networks. The ROSS programme uses Vodafone’s innovative Sure Signal technol-
ogy to bring high quality 3G voice services and much needed access to the internet via mobile devices to communities in some
of the UK’s most beautiful and remote areas. About the size of a cereal box, the Open Sure Signal units connect to existing
broadband lines to create 3G coverage, and are installed high up on chimney breasts or the eaves of buildings.
