This is because of it’s location between the North and South American continents. Costa Rica is home to more than 500,000 species, which represents nearly 4% of the total species estimated in the world.

Costa Rica is a small country in terms of size. Costa Rica’s weather has a lot going on. It can be divided into several climatic zones, each of which are distinct and individual. It is tropical because it is located so close to the equator. Costa Rica has no real winter period, and the sun shines there throughout the year. With over 12 hours of sunshine a day, the sun rises at about 5 am and sets at about 6 pm consistently throughout the year.
