• Most scholarship organizations direct students to an online application; any hard
copies of applications are located in file cabinet in Guidance (scholarship drawer)

FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID (FAFSA)• REQUEST PIN NOW so you are prepared to begin working on the FAFSA
January 1, 2014 – the first date the application is available• www.fafsa.ed.gov - web address in Senior brochure• Must complete FAFSA to qualify for federal grants, federal loans (Stafford,

• Complete Transcript Request Form
• Include Secondary Report Forms/Counselor Statements
• First 2 transcripts for college admission are FREE
• Additional copies are $2 each
• All transcripts for scholarships are free & must be sent to organizations by
students – UNLESS STUDENTS ARE NOMINATED BY EFHS
• Ability to submit electronic transcripts not yet available due to Powerschool
transition
RECOMMENDATION REQUESTS
• Request Recommendations (allow 2 weeks)
• Complete Senior Resume & Scholarship Interest form
• Provide Addressed, Stamped Envelopes for teachers and community
members to submit recommendations directly to colleges & scholarship
organizations or students may mail them; Counselors do NOT submit as
part of application process
