Our target population includes youthand young adults of immigrant Filipinoand Filipino American families within
theUnited Methodist Church—
to strengthen and support our youthas they become leaders.

CI-PNW is open to ALLwho are seeking Jesus Christ,
spiritual guidance,acceptance, and fellowship.
CHRISTMAS INSTITUTE is held every year fromDECEMBER 26 - 30.
The Vision of CI-PNW…
To know Jesus Christ,and make Him known...
To fellowship with other believers…
To mature in our faith...To link our cultural identities with faith in action...
Christmas Institute originatedin the Philippines in 1921.
The Roots of CI…
Since then,youth and young adults
throughout the Philippineshave gathered each year
to discuss issues relevant toyoung people living in faith,and to build and strengthen
young leaders within theUnited Methodist Church.
Bringing “CI” to the U.S.A…
Christmas Institute was adapted into the United Statesin 1981, with the support of the National Associationof Filipino American United Methodists.
Following the model of CI inthe Philippines, youth andyoung adults in the U.S. couldalso experience a UMC campthat would address faith
issueswithin an atmosphere thatintentionally acknowledgedFilipino identity and heritage.
CI continues to expand…
