1. DESCRIBE THE GOVERNMENT SYSTEM IN THE COLONIES BEFORE THE YEAR 1763.
Before 1763 colonists elected leader to create laws and impose taxes.
2. EVALUATE THE FRENCH AND INDIAN WAR. WHO WON THE WAR AND WHAT WAS TO BE GAINED?
Great Britain won the war in 1763 and gained the Ohio Valley and Canada.
3. HOW DID THE COLONIES REACT TO THE TOWNSHEND ACTS OF 1767?
The colonies reacted by boycotting British goods.
4. EXPLAIN HOW THE PROCLAMATION LINE OF 1763 AFFECTED THE AMERICAN INDIANS TO THE WEST OF THE APPALACHIANS AND THE COLONISTS TO THE EAST. WHICH GROUP WAS BETTER OFF AS A RESULT OF THE PROCLAMATION?
The Proclamation Line of 1763 kept the colonists from moving west of the Appalachian Mountain.
5. ANALYZE THE BOSTON TEA PARTY. HOW DID GREAT BRITAIN RESPOND TO THE EVENT? WHY?
Great Britain responded with the Intolerable Acts. King George III was furious that tea was wasted.
6. THINK ABOUT ALL TAXES AND EVENTS IN THE COLONIES BEFORE THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR. EXPLAIN THE BRITISH ACTION THAT COLONISTS CONSIDERED TO BE AN ACT OF TYRANNY
Great Britain abused its powers by forcing colonists to stay east of the Appalachian Mountains.
7. ANALYZE THE STAMP ACT OF 1764. MORE THAN TAXES, WHAT DID COLONISTS RESENT FROM THE TAX?
They wanted to be represented in Parliament.

Members from 12 colonies met to discuss a solution to the conflict with Great Britain.
9. EXPLAIN HOW GREAT BRITAIN CHANGED ITS RELATION WITH THE COLONIES.
Great Britain became more involved in the colonies by imposing laws and taxes.
11. HOW DID COLONISTS FEEL AFTER THE BATTLE OF LEXINGTON AND CONCORD?
They felt very confident and eager to fight for their rights.
12. HOW DID GREAT BRITAIN RESPOND TO THE COLONIAL PROTESTS AGAINST THE STAMP ACT OF 1764?
The protests and actions of the colonists lead Parliament to repeal the act.
13. EVALUATE THE BOSTON MASSACRE. WHO WAS INVOLVED AND WHAT WAS THE OUTCOME? WHAT AFFECT DID IT HAVE ON THE COLONIES?
Bostonian protests turned violent which led British soldiers to shoot towards a crowd and kill five Bostonians. This event raised anti-British sentiments. Paul Revere creates an engraving of the event.
14. WRITE ABOUT THE GREAT AWAKENING AND THE IDEALS THAT CAME FROM THAT MOVEMENT.
A religious movement from the 1730s-1740s. Raised the ideas of liberty, self reliance, and equality.
15. WHY DO PEOPLE ADAPT TO DIFFERENT WAYS OF LIFE?
People have to adapt to their environment and make use of their natural resources.
16. HOW DID THE ENGLISH BILL OF RIGHTS AFFECT ENGLISH CITIZENS?
As English citizens, they were given fundamental rights
17. WHICH HISTORICAL DOCUMENT CAN BE COMPARED TO THE MAYFLOWER COMPACT?
The U.S. constitution explains how we are to govern ourselves.
