Class of 2021 Montgomery County Next Generation Leadership Program Applications for the Class of 2021 Montgomery County Next Generation Leadership Program were sent out through Naviance on January 16th. Student interested in apply-ing to this program will need to complete the online application, upload a resume and unofficial transcript, and have a teacher complete and email their recommendation form all by March 6th. This is a competitive program, not all students that apply will be chosen. This is a great program where rising seniors (you will participate in this your senior year) meet with other students from Montgomery County in sessions with leaders from across many aspects (medical, government, development, etc) of our county. Former students have made great contacts during this program and learned more about leadership through their participation. More information as well as the application can be obtained at: https://www.efta-us.org/next-generation-leadership.html
Next Generation Leadership Education for Tomorrow Alliance is proud to partner with the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Com-merce to offer the Next Generation Leadership program to 12th grade students in the Chamber service area. The program is intended to provide promising students with the opportunity to learn about leader-ship at work in Montgomery County and to cultivate individual leadership skills through interactions ...www.efta-us.org

Cavalier Challenge: Your circumstances do not determine your success. Your success
comes from within. Success is mindset. Do not stop when an obstacle or limitation
comes up in your life. Take your limitations and turn them into ways to overcome or
work within them. This part of the journey adds value to your life and builds your
success. Your challenge is to become your best self.

Tardy Policy
Students are expected to be in their
assigned classrooms when the tardy
bell rings. Each student is allowed
six tardies per semester, and each of
those six tardies is a warning. The
purpose of the warnings is to help
students deal with mishaps in the
hall, bad weather, heavy traffic, etc.
When a student exceeds six tardies,
the student will begin receiving
consequences from their Assistant
Principal. Tardies will start over
after each semester. Students seen
intentionally being tardy may have
all tardy privileges revoked and
consequences elevated. Students
who drive to school may have
additional consequences including
suspension of parking and/or loss of
parking privileges.
LUNCH DROP-OFF POLICY:

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) members have been making a difference in their families, careers and communities by addressing important personal, work and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences education since 1945. FCCLA is a dynamic and effective national student or-ganization that helps young people become leaders. FCCLA has over 175,000 members and more than 5300 chapters from all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. There are over 24,600 FCCLA members in Texas alone.
Region IV FCCLA consists of over 5,000 students. Region IV Texas FCCLA hosted the Regional Conference and Competition February 6 - 8, 2020 in Galveston, Texas. College Park High School competed in 8 events and many students took the Education and Training Exam as well. Each competitor did a great job represent-ing CP FCCLA. College Park is advancing in 7 events at the state level and many students are going to state to take the Education and Training or Job Interview test. The top two teams and the top five testing scores will qualify for FCCLA Nationals this summer in Washington D.C. Our CP students worked hard, and their hard work was recognized and rewarded as College Park was one of the highest performing schools for the second year in a row.
Below is a listing of the students/teams advancing to state:
1st Place in Public Policy Advocate Level 3: (Maggie Foster, Lily Oleksy and Gillian Spreen) 1st Place in Event Management Level 3: (Hannah Deverse, Abigail Pena and Molly Welch) 2nd Place in Event Management Level 2: (Adriann Arevlo, Samantha Bell and Acacia Ward) 3rd Place in National Programs in Action Level 3: (Emily Brown, Veda Gordia and Dani Myles) 4th Place in Nutrition and Wellness Level 3: (Skyler Bleakley, Audrey Santamaria and Sophie Young) 4th Place in Interior Design Level 3: (Makayla Makuvise) 5th Place in Interpersonal Communications Level 2: (Grace Araya, Sariah Diaz and Danyelle Rea)
Many of the above students are also taking the Education Test. Below are students who are going to state in the testing only division:
Testing: Tille Bengston, Elena Chergotis, Mehle Corder, Mariela Gonzalez and Isabella Gurley
Good luck to the students at state April 2– 4, 2020 in Dallas, Texas!
Over the weekend our Art department competed at the Visual Art Scholastic Event or VASE for short. We had over
130 pieces compete with majority taking home top scores. After all of the pieces went through their first round of
judging the top scoring pieces are judged again and the top 10% of the region advance to state. The Art department is
happy to announce that CP had 21 pieces advance to state.
