Faith is the most precious thing in the world. But it is frequently beset by the harsh winds of doubt which blow through the world. There are places and moments when we can strengthen our faith. In our church and community the Lord is present and active. He shows His love to those who need grace and blessings. Faith is nourished by the Holy Word of God and the sacraments.
Skepticism, apathy and indifference weaken our faith and the community! Thomas said unless I see, unless I touch, I will not believe. It sounds so reasonable and so logical. It repre-sents the rational approach so much in vogue today. Today the opinion prevails that everything can be ration-ally explained. If something is ob-scure, all we have to do is shed a ray of scientific light on it and it will be-
come clear. Van Gogh puts it in perspective! It is necessary sometimes to believe in something a little in order to see it. Faith takes us where our senses cannot go. But which is the stronger; faith without doubts, or faith that contends with doubt?
Fr. Brendan

Padre Brendan

Believe. If you really believe, you will be open to receive
the Holy Spirit, to forgive and be forgiven. How else can
you be of one mind with your community? How else can
you be willing to share what you have in common and
bear witness to the resurrection? Pray that, in believing
that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, “you may have
life in his name.” Ask yourself: Do I believe strongly
enough to share what I have to speak out for my faith?

Crea.

drinking: ! Limit your drinking to no more
than 1 drink a day for women or 2
drinks a day for men. ! Keep track of how much you drink.
! Choose a day each week when you will not drink.
! Don’t drink when you are upset.
! Limit the amount of alcohol you keep at home.
! Avoid places where people drink
a lot. ! Make a list of reasons not to drink.
If you are concerned about someone else’s drinking, offer to help.

lencia, ahogamiento, enfermedades
del hígado y algunos tipos de cáncer. Beba responsablemente. No consuma

Begin with the Our Father, Hail Mary,
and the Apostles Creed. Using regular
rosary beads, work your way around
the five decades with the prayers be-
low.
On the standalone beads, pray:
"Eternal Father, I offer you the body,
blood, soul, and divinity of your dearly
beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, in
atonement for our sins and those of
the whole world."
On the decade beads, pray: "For the
sake of his sorrowful Passion, have
mercy on us and on the whole world."
At the end, pray the following three
times: "Holy God, Holy Mighty One,
Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us

It is typical to conclude the Divine

I trust in you."
