ella mia memoria, sono da sempre depositati i fantasmi della inconfondibile identità della Venini. Quando lavoro per questa nobile azienda cerco sempre di collegarmi al mistero degli archetipi che hanno condotto a un così preciso stile, lungo una così lunga storia, e cerco di provarne una interpretazione. Mi sembra che il gusto Venini sia frutto di un magico dosaggio creatosi nel tempo, fra alcune tecniche esclusive, alcuni eccezionali artisti inventori di forme, e la scelta di certi colori. Questa tradizione e questi confini sono la magica formula di Venini. L'hortus conclusus Venini fa parte delle meraviglie dell'umanità. Calma e saggezza di un chiaro artigianato, puro e intatto nel tempo, incorruttibile dalla violenza delle mode, un esempio e una testimonianza di perfezione.

he spirits of Venini’s unmistakable identity have always been imprinted upon my memory. When I work for this noble company, I always try to connect to the mystery of archetypes that led to such a precise style with such a long history, and I seek to interpret that. I believe that the Venini taste is the fruit of an enchanted mix, created over time, of a few exclusive techniques, a handful of exceptional artists who were inventors of forms, and a predilection for certain colors. This tradition and these boundaries are Venini’s magic formula. Its hortus conclusus (enclosed garden) is one of humanity’s wonders. It contains the calmness and skill of clear craftsmanship that has remained pure and intact throughout time, incorruptible by the violence of fashion, an example and proof of perfection.

In un trionfo di Blu e Oro, la collezione VENINI RAVENNA FESTIVAL 2016 è un omaggio a Ravenna, capitale bizantina per secoli e conosciuta come la Città dei Mosaici, la cui straordinaria ricchezza musiva è divenuta Patrimonio Mondiale.Il colore Blu, in una gradazione profonda e intensa, è una delle tonalità più ricorrenti e richiama la volta celeste simboleggiando un infinito cosmico emblemadi pace e di eternità. Al Blu si mischia l'Oro che dona luce e impreziosisce le opere evocando la magia delle atmosfere mistiche create dalle tessere vetrose dei mosaici.La collezione è dominata dal Vaso Byzantium, una edizione speciale del Vaso Veronese: simbolo di Venini dal 1921, la coppa Byzantium è un augurio di pace così come auspicato dalla simbologia dei mosaici del Mausoleo di Galla Placidia. Al Vaso e alla Coppa si affiancano due Bicchieri che si fanno allegoria di un brindisi che festeggia l'unione tra le due città.Con la collezione VENINI BYZANTIUM 2016, Ravenna e Venezia rivivono un legame storico che affonda le radici in una parentesi di cultura bizantina fatta di colori e simboli eterni.

In a Blue and Gold explosion, the VENINI RAVENNA FESTIVAL COLLECTION 2016 is a tribute to Ravenna, capital city of the Byzantine Empire for centuries, also known as the City of Mosaics, whose extraordinary richness in mosaic masterpieces is World Heritage.The colour Blue, created in a dark and deep hue, is one of the most recurring shades and refers the Vault of Heaven symbolizing the infinity as an emblem of peace and eternity.Gold blends with Blue giving light and enrichening the works of this collection recalling the magic of the mystical atmospheres created by the glass tiles of the mosaics.The Vaso Byzantium dominates the collection, a new special-edition of the Vaso Veronese: symbol of Venini since 1921, the Byzantium bowl is a peace offering as it is wished by the symbolism of the mosaics in the Mausoleo of Galla Placidia. Together with the vase and the bowl are two Glasses that become allegory of a toast which celebrates the union of the two cities.Thanks to the VENINI BYZANTIUM COLLECTION 2016, Ravenna and Venice relive their historic relationship which has its origin in a period of Byzantine culture made of immortal colours and symbols.
