PRONOUNS
• A pronoun is a word that takes the place of one or more nouns.
►Ex: The myth amuses Kim. It amuses her.
PERSONAL PRONOUNS
• A personal pronoun is a pronoun that is used to refer to people or things.
►Ex: "I stopped believing in Santa Claus when my mother took me to see him in a department store, and he asked for my autograph."(Shirley Temple)
SUBJECT PRONOUNS
• A subject pronoun is a personal pronoun in the nominative case. It is used as the subject of a sentence.
►Ex: She especially likes “Atlanta’s Race.”
OBJECT PRONOUN
• An object pronoun is a personal pronoun in the objective case. It is used as the object of a verb or a preposition.
►Ex: The librarian recommended it to us.

The object of a verb receives the action of the verb. The personal pronouns me, you, him, her, it, us, and them can all be used as the object of a verb. “Lisa likes cats. She likes to stoke them
SUBJECT PRONOUNS
The subject of a verb does the action of the verb. The personal pronouns I, you, he, she, it, we and they can all be used as the subject of a verb. “Lisa likes cats. She has four cats.
