Chapters 1 and 2Grandpa loved Little Willy. He made breakfast every day. They played games and tricks on each other. Grandfather was raising Willy. Grandpa would not get out of bed. Little Willy went to get a doctor. The doctor said grandpa gave up on life. At the end of the day Willy would play the harmonica. Willy said would you like me to play more? Grandpa would not talk back he just put his hand palm up on the bed Willy took that as a yes. Palm up meant yes palm down meant no.

Chapter 3Searchlight always wants to be on the sled. Little Willy did to. They had races back from school back to the farm. They would set records and they would always beat it. It was winter and everything was covered in snow. Little Willy asked a lot of questions and grandpa would say how would he know if he does not ask.

Chapters 5 and 6Little willy needed 500.00 to pay the taxes on the farm. Little willy had 50.00 and the taxes are a lot more than that. But one day he saw a poster for a race and the reward was 500.00. And he had SEARCHLIGHT. Luckily they had run the track hundreds of times. Stone fox was in the race and he had never lost a race before but thats not going keep little Willy from wining.

CHAPTERS 7 AND 8It was Friday night the day before the race when it happened. Grandpa was out of medicine and little Willy went to see Doc Smith here said the docter. All it was was a paper with doodling all over it. She said to take it to Lester right now But the store is closed. Just go to the back door im sure he will here it. He knows that I will call him. Willy went to the door one more thing Willy. Doc smith said I just want you to know I think youre a fool. I know. You know you can have 1 or 2 slices of that cinammon cake.

Chapters 9 and 10Searchlight ran as soon as she heard the whistle. She almost went so fast little Willy almost fell of they got to the river it was frozen but they crossed it anyway. They were winning they saw their farm someone was in grandpas room its grandpa! They saw the finish line but then Searchlights heart BLEW UP! Willy saw Stone fox he stopped right in front of Willy. He made a line a few inches in front of Willys head. He went to his sled and got a rifle and came back to Willy he spoke and said anyone who crosses this line ill shoot. He nodded to Willy as he caried Searchlight he walked past the finish line and won.
