Introduction
Born on December 12, 1915 in Hoboken New York to an Italian immigrant couple.
He was an only child.
His father, Martin Anthony, was a boxer-turned-fireman.
His mother, Natalie “Dolly”, was a former barmaid who often sang at family gatherings.
Growing Up
An accomplished all-around athlete, with a special interest in boxing
After graduating high school, he began singing in his spare time.
Began entering local talent contests
First Big Break
Sinatra and a local trio won a contest on a nationwide radio show.
Afterwards he got a Job at the Rustic Cabin where he was hired for the Harry James Orchestra.
Six months later he joined the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra.
The FamilyFirst wife - Nancy Barbato. They met when he was 19 in the summer of 1934. They were married in February of 1939 and divorced in October of 1951.

Married to Ava Gardner (Nov. 1951-1957), Mia Farrow (1966-1968), and Barbara Marx (1976).
