the suns light

• Its rotations cause tides

• Stabilizes the Earth’s rotations

• Made mostly of Earth’s crust

• Orbits Earth

The Seasons• Dependent on

earth’s tilt on its axis

• Determines time of day in poles

• Sets amount of daylight

• Opposite on north or south hemispheres

• Changes on solstices

• Middle of seasons is the equinox

Time• One orbit

around the sun = day

• One revolution is one day

• Time is dependent on the time zone

• GMT is time on the Prime Meridian
