good and evil So it means the rain is coming down like

bullets; very, very hard

Holiday is about the American government and humanity during the Iraqi War. The song starts out saying how the thousands of deceased Iraqis and Americans are unknown to most American citizens. Meaning the majority of Americans don’t know what’s going on over in the war. It is also about the protesters finding out the pro-war was more powerful than they could ever get in their life.

There is also irony about a Christian’s feeling accepts the war: "Can I get another 'Amen'? There's a flag wrapped around the score of men." To go “On Holiday” is to go on vacation, like an escape, Boulevard Of Broken Dreams.
