Bearers and members given full support to made this
function a grand success.
Ajay Vyas, Seceretary
I have always been of the view that members
and officials of all Branches of Bharat Vikas
Parishad should visit the functions, activities
and festivities of other Branches. This not
only inculcates social interaction among the
members but also gives an opportunity to
learn from what that Branch is doing and how. Our seniors
who grace such occasions should share the new activities/
experiments being done by branches they visit, with the
audience at other places.
Though I am a grass root worker of BVP, Smt. Madhu Seth,
President of A Block Janakpuri Branch - a vibrant social and
religious worker invited me to a 3-day children's camp which
the Branch had organized during January- February, 2017. My
visit gave me a lot to learn and share with others.
First of all the concept of a CAMP was amazing – how a branch
can hold children for 3 days, keep them busy in activities from
which they would learn. Yes, the Branch did organize this
camp from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Aashirwad Banquet Hall. God
has given Smt. Seth enough resources and strength to
organize an activity like this – Aashirwad is owned by her
husband, Shri Mohan Seth, another kind hearted, social
worker and Patron of Branch.
Details of the Camp have already been reported by the
B r a n c h
Secretary, Sh.
Ramesh Bhatia
and have been
published in the
last issue of
Vikas Sandesh.
W h a t w a s
surprising was
the activities
like Kroshia, stitching buttons, painting on earthen gullaks
and so on. What moved me the most was an item in which
children were surmised about the love and regard for their
mothers. Mothers were invited and children were asked to
wash their feet and take a pledge that every morning first
thing they will do is to touch the feet of their parents and take
blessings. Swacch Bharat procession and planting saplings
were other activities besides Yog Asanas and a discourse on
Ramayana. All this and much more was packaged into a
capsule of 3 days. I could see the glee on the faces of children.
Such activities should be given publicity through NITI and
other publications of BVP.
My hearty congratulations to A Block Janakpuri Branch. You
are a path breaker, indeed.
K.B. Mahajan

We thank Smt. Dixit and Shri Gera who adjudged the entries.
Our thanks to all members of our team particularly Shri Arun
Mehan who spearheaded the event.
The Branch donated a sum of Rs. 4100/- to
