As the Chancellor of Bharati Vidyapeeth

University I extend a very warm welcome to the

students who are desirous of seeking admissions

in our different Constituent units.

Bharati Vidyapeeth, the parent organization

of this University is celebrating this year as its

Golden Jubilee Year. At this moment my mind

goes back over a period of five decades. Bharati

Vidyapeeth initiated its academic journey with a

single school. Now it is one of the premier

educational institutions in the country, having

under its umbrella more that 180 educational

units including 80 colleges of 12 faculties. They

include colleges of Medicine, Dentistry,

Engineering, Pharmacy, Hotel Management and

the like. There may not be any disciplines either

conventional or emerging for which Bharati

Vidyapeeth has not established its institution.

Within a short period of 18 years or so,

Bharati Vidyapeeth University has established its

academic reputation even across the national

borders. Its high level of academic excellence is

underscored by the fact that the Ministry of

Human Resource Development, Government of

India has given 'A' grade status to thisUniversity. The University's another remarkable

achievement is that it has been awarded a

prestigious 'A' grade by the NAAC both in its first

accreditation and also in reaccreditation. An

approval by the UGC under Section 12B of its

Act which our University has received by

another feather in the cap of the University.

We at this University are committed to make

available to our students a wide spectrum of

academic options to choose from.

It has also been our endeavour to provide

continuously updated education in a congenial

environment to our students. I am very happy

that a very large number of our past students

have established their reputation as Medical

Practitioners, Engineers, Pharmacy

Industrialists and the like not only at the national

level but also at the international level. Researchis a focal area of activities of our University. We

have three Research Institutes as constituent

units of University. They are doing remarkable

work. However, our aim is to develop this

Bharati Vidyapeeth, the parent organization of this University is one of the largest educational

organizations in the country. It has 171 educational units under its umbrella including 67 Colleges and

Institutes of conventional and professional education.

The Department of Human ResourceDevelopment, Government of India on the recommendations of th

University Grants Commission accorded the status of Deemed to be University initially to a cluster of 12

The status of University was given to a cluster of these colleges and institutes in appreciation of the

high levelof their academic excellence and for their potential for further growth.

During the last 16 years or so, the University has achieved higher pinnacles of academic excellence

and has established its reputation to such an extent that it attracts students not only from various parts of

India but also from abroad. According to a survey conducted by Association of Indian Universities, this

University is one among the top ten Universities in the country preferred by the overseas students for

admissions. At present, there are more than 800 overseas students from 67 countries on the rolls of

constituent units of this University.

During the last 16 years, there has been tremendous academic expansion of the University. It now

conducts in all 214 courses in its constituent units, of them 107 are Post Graduate, 50 are Under Graduate

and 57 Diploma level courses. All the professional courses which the University conducts such as those of

Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering etc., have approval of the respective statutory councils, viz., Medical

Council of India, Dental Council of India, All India Council for TechnicalEducation etc.

The University is a throbbing center of research activities and has launched Ph.D. programmes

in 64 subjects. It has also introduced quite few innovative academic programmes such as Masters

in Clinical Optometry, M.Tech.inNano Technology etc.

The University's performance and achievements were assessed by the "National

Our Campus

Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University has campuses in Pune, Mumbai, Solapur, Kolhapur, Sangli,

Karadand New Delhi, the capital city of India. Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University has two campuses in

Pune, one is onPune-Satara Roadand another in Erandwane, in the heart of the city. The campus on Pune-

Satara Road is situated on a sprawling 75 acres of land. Architectually well designed buildings on this

campus house are Medical, Dental, Ayurved, Engineering, Homoeopathic Colleges and Bharati Hospital

Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University

College of Ayurved and Hospital

Bharati Vidyapeeths College of Ayurved was established in the year 1990-1991. It was

earlier affliated to University of Pune on a permanent basis. It is now a constituent unit of Bharati

Vidyapeeth Deemed University.

The College building accommodates well equipped laboratories, dissection hall and well

furnished classrooms with LCD facility. The college has a digital library with spacious reading hall and

provides a good collectionof more than 17500 volumes of Ayurvedic Medicine along with allied

other medicines. It also povides important periodicals and scientific journals to update students

knowledge. All the departments have internet facility and Museums with disply of various

specimens. The college maintains a HerbalGarden having more than 1000 medicinal plants with

rare herbal species. The college has also installed a teaching pharmacy to manufacture quality basedAyurvedic Medicines. It gives hands on experience to prepare different kinds of Ayurvedic

formulations.

The college is having own Ayurvedic Hospital in the campus with 200 bed strength. OPD andIPD serve a large number of patients which is beneficial for the students. The college of Ayurved isacademically excellent in India. The teaching faculty is qualified, well experienced and researchoriented.

To enhance research activities the college is successfully running P.G. courses approved byC.C.I.M. since 1999-2000. The college offers Ayurved Vachaspati (M.D. Ayurved) in Ayurved Samhita &Siddhant, Rachana Sharir, Dravyaguna vigyan, Kayachikitsa, Roganidan, Panchakarma, Swasthavritta,

Rasashastra & Bhaishajyakalpana, Kriya Sharir, Agadtantra and Vidhi Vaidyak, Kaumarbhritya andAyurved Dhanwantari (M.S. Ayurved) in Prasuti Tantra & Stree rog, Shalakya Tantra, Shalya Tantrasubjects. To enhance the clinical competancy college has recently started P.G. diploma courses in sixsubjects. To promote advanced research in Ayurved the college has designed Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.Ayurved) in all Ayurvedic subjects. It has started CME (continous medical education) programmes forinternee and post graduation students to update clinical knowledge.

To achieve excellence in research; collaborative activities are carried out with the help of differentinstitutes of BVDU such as Irsha, Medical, Biotechnology, Pharmacy ect. The submission ofresearch proposals enables to obtain the grants from Dept. of Ayush, Ministry of health and family welfareNew Delhi which ultimately fulfills the goal of Bharati Vidyapeeth.

The College not only provides better teaching and clinical facilities to the students, but also organisesvarious kinds of academic activities including state and national level seminars and workshops to enrichacademic experience of students. For allround development of students extra cirricular and co-curricularactivities are regularly organised. Thus the quality based education is imparted to students whichdevelop them in successful practitioners.

2. Foreign / NRI / PIO / OCI / Management Merit Seats :

Fifty percent seats are reserved for Foreign / NRI / PIO / OCI / Management Merit Category.

Candidate desirous of seeking admission under this category should purchase the brochure for

Regular Catagory and also purchase brochure for Foreign / NRI / PIO / OCI / Management Merit

Category for Rs. 1,000/- available with office of the Registrar,Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University,

Pune. The candidates should apply with details to Registrar Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed

University, Pune. Last date for submission of form is 8th July 2014. Any seats remaining vacant in

this catagory, after allotment to Foreign /NRI / PIO / OCI students, willbe allotted to the candidates

under Management Catagory. Students underManagement Catagory will have to appear for AYUPET

2014 examination and the seat will be allotted to them on the basis of marks obtained by them in

AYUPET 2014.

4. Eligibility for Admission

a) A graduate degree in Ayurved of any university/statutory body approved by C.C.I.M.

b) The applicant should complete his / her rotating internship training before the commencement of

counselling and spot admission.

c) The candidate should posses a permanent registration with any State Medical Council in India

or Central Council of Indian Medicine. If he does not have the same he will be required to

obtain such registration within one month after admission to the P.G. course, failing which his

admission to P.G.course will be cancelled.

Eligibility for Appearing In AYUPET - 2014

i) The candidate should be an IndianNational

ii) The candidate must have passed BAMS examination from any Ayurved College Institute

recognised by the Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi for admission.

iii) The candidate must have completed the compulsory rotating internship before the

commencement of counselling and spot admission.

He/She will be required to produce a certificate of completion of internship before joining the

course.However, such a candidate will be required to pay the entire amount of annual tuition

and other fees at the time of counselling. The failure of the selected candidate to pay the entire

amount annual tution fees, development fees and other fees at the time of counselling will

result into forfeiture of his claim for admission and the same will be given to the next in the

merit list.

iv) If a candidate does not fulfill any one or all the above requirements he/she will not be considered

eligible for admission irrespective of his appearing and securing a rank in the merit list.

5. Basis of Selection

1. The selection shall be made strictly on the basis of marks obtained by candidate in

AYUPET-2014, Written Test of 200 marks.

2. The minimum eligibility marks of the entrance test AYUPET-2014, for admission in the case of

general candidates shall be 50% of total marks and in the case of candidates belonging to SC,

ST & RegularGovernment Service candidate shall be 40%

6. In case of two or more candidates having equal merit following procedure shall be adopted as a tie-

breaker.

1. Firstpreference to the candidate who has got the highest total number of marks at the III BAMS

examination

2. If equal, preference shall be decided on the basis of grand total of marks secured by theapplicantat the I, II and III BAMS examination.

3. If equal, preference shall be decided on the basis of total marks secured by the candidate at the

12th standard examination in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects taken together.

4. If equal, preference shall be decided on the basis of total marks obtained by the candidate in

the 12th standard examination including all the subjects.

7. The allotment of the subject willbe done as per merit and depending upon the availability of seat in

aparticular subject at the time of counselling of the candidate.

8. The question paper of AYUPET - 2014 shall consist of 100 objective multiple choice type of questions.

The question will be on the syllabi prescribed for the I, II and III BAMS examinations, with more

weightagegiven to clinical subjects. Each correct answer will get 2 marks. No marks will be deducted

for unanswered questions or wrong answers. The candidate will have to mark right answer from the

suggested alternative answers. (Please see detailed instruction on AYUPET-2014.)

9. AYUPET - 2014 willbe conducted at Bharati Vidyapeeth's Pune, Navi Mumbai,New Delhi centers.

Application Procedure

A candidate d e s i r o u s of applying for AYUPET - 2014, is required to fill the form online and

download the same. The same must reach to the Registrar, CET Online department Bharati Vidyapeeth

University, Bharati Vidyapeeth Bhavan, Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg, Pune 411 030. on or before the

date of submission mentioned in the calendar of event.

All candidates are required to enclose the photocopies of the following documents duly attested byPrincipal/Gazetted Officer alongwith the form -

a) Statement of marks of I, II and III BAMS examinations.

b) Certificate of completion of Internship.

c) Certificate indicating the number of attempts at III BAMS examination from the Head of the

Institution

d) If the candidate is employed, he should submit 'No Objection Certificate' from the employer.

e) Declaration stating that he is not undergoing any Postgraduate course in any other institution.

f) Medical fitness certificate

g) Statement of marks of 10+2 examination.h) Certificate of registration with State Medical Council/CCIM

i) Nationality Certificate

j) Migration Certificate

k) Certificate from the Dean/Principal of the Ayurved College of the candidate stating, that the

College is recognised by the CCIM.

L) Cast Certificate (In case of Candidates of SC/ST Category)

M) Cast Validity Certificate (In case of Candidates of SC/ST Category) issued by appropriateauthority

INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATE TO FILL THE FORM.

Thank you very much for selecting admission into Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed

UniversityPUNE. Please read these instructions carefully and please follow the same.

If you have any query about filling the form, contact 020 24407163.

There are two options available for payment of entrance fees

1. Payment through Demand Draft(DD)

2. Payment through Payment Gateway i.e. Credit/Debit Master/ Visa cards.

Instructions for payment are given on home page. Kindly note that the candidates

opting for this payment mode should not send his form to this office. Instead

he/she should carry the form at the examination hall along with TWO passport size

photographs. Please submit this form to the invigilator.

3 Those who are opting Demand Draft as payment mode for CET Online

Registration, SelectDemand Draft as Payment Option.

a) You are requested to the see table of contents for examination and identify

your course.

b) The amount shown in the columns of Demand Draft should be noted. You are

requested to draw a Demand Draft of this amount from any nationalized bank

in favour of The registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University payable at

Pune.

c) You are requested not proceed further unless you have a DD.

d) Select I Agreeand click NEXTbutton

e) Select whether the examination is Under Graduate (UG) or Post graduate (PG).

f) System displays / shows the table of various examinations. You are requested

i) Candidate has to read instrations given the agreement carefully, select I agree

and click NEXTbutton to start CET Online Registration form.

j) After you enter all necessary information through these screens the system

will display the preview of the completed form in read only mode. For any

corrections, use previous button to go to appropriate screen and make

corrections.

k) Finally if you are satisfied with the entered information Through previewmode, click on the submit button. The filled form in PDF format will begenerated.

l) In case of unforeseen events ( power failure, disconnection of Internet etc.please re-enter the form again from beginning i.e. from steps (h).

m) The filled form in the PDF mode is displayed on the screen. You must take

the print copy of this form, paste a photograph and make a signature at

appropriate place provided in the form.

n) Please write form No, Course Name, Candidate Name and Contact No on the

back side of the Demand Draft and attach to the form, put it in envelope and

send this to the following address.

mail containing the admit card and a soft copy of the brochure to the E-mail

address provided by the candidate in the application form.

q) A separate print copy of Admit Card will also be mailed to you by post.

INSTRUCTIONS TOCANDIDATES

CONDUCT OF THE AYUPET - 2014

1. The Test willbe conducted at Bharati Vidyapeeth's PUNE,NAVI MUMBAI, NEW DELHI Centres. The

candidatemust report at the centre of his choice atleast 30 minutes before the time of commencement

of examination.

2. THE EXAMINATION HALL WILL BE OPENED 30 MINUTES BEFORE THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE

TEST. CANDIDATES ARE EXPECTE D TO TAKE THEIR SEATS 15 MINUTES BEFORE

THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE EXAMINATION. IF THE CANDIDATES DO NOTREPORT IN TIME

THEY ARE LIKELY TO MISS SOME OF THE GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO BE ANNOUNCED IN

THE EXAMINATIONHALL.

3. A candidate who comes 30 minutes after the commencement of the examination will not be permitted

to sit in the examination.

4. The candidate must show, on demand, the Admission Card for admission to the examination hall. A

candidatewho does not possess the Admission Card issued by the Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune

will not be admitted to the examination hall under any circumstances by the Centre Superintendent.

5. A candidate will not be allowed to carry any textual material, printed or written, bits of papers or any

other material except the Admission Card inside the examination hall. Also, candidates will not be

permitted tobring calculators, slide rules, Clerk tables, electronic watches with facilities of calculators,

laptop computers, personal stereo systems, walkie-talkie sets, paging devices and any otherobject/device that is likely tobeof unfair assistance.

6. No candidate, will be allowed to go outside the examination hall till the completion of the entire

durationofexamination. Once the candidate leaves the room (even if only to answer a call of nature)

he/she cannotreturn under any circumstances.

7. Candidates are advised to bring with them a card board or a clip board, on which nothing should

be written, so that they have no difficulty in writing responses in the answer sheet even if the tables

provided in the examination hall do not have smooth surface. They must have their own ball pens,

HB pencils, sharpener and erasers of good quality.

8. Smoking in the examination centre is strictly prohibited. Beverages or snacks of any kind are not

allowed tobe taken into the examination halls during examination hours.

9. Candidates shall maintain perfect silence and attend to their papers only. Any conversation or

gesticulation or disturbance in the examination hall shall be as misbehaviour and if a candidate is

found using unfair means or impersonation, his/her candidature will be cancelled and he/she will be

liable tobedebarred for taking examination either permanently or for a specified period according to

the nature of offense.

10. During the examination time, the Invigilator will check the Admission Card of the candidates to satisfy

himself/herself about the identity of each candidate. The invigilator will also put his/her signature in

theplaceprovided in the Answer Sheet on SIDE-1.

11. After completing the Test and before handing over the Test Booklet and the Answer Sheet to the

invigilator, the candidate should check again that all the particulars required in the Test Booklet and

the Answer Sheet have been correctly written. Ensure that the Roll Number, is correctly written in the

answer sheet.

12. A warning bell willbe given at the beginning of the examination and at the half-time. A warning bell

will alsobe given before the closing time when the candidate must stop marking the responses.

Mode of the Test

13. The examination willbe of 2 hours duration and will consist of one question paper of 100 questions.

There is no negative marking.

14. The test is of objective type with 2 marks for each question that is of 200 marks. The candidate will

beprovided with a sealed Test Booklet and an answer sheet. The candidate will write with ball point

pen the required information regarding: Name and Roll Number on the Test Booklet and on the

answer sheet.

15. In the Test Booklet, there will be 100 questions based on syllabus of I to III BAMS.serially numbered

from 001 to 100. Each question will be followed by four responses marked A , B , C, & D . Of

these fourresponsesonly one willbe the correct or the most appropriate response.

The Answer Sheet

16. An answersheet will be provided to the candidate at the time of examination. A specimen copy of the

answer sheet is given with this brochure. Candidates are advised to go through it and be conversant

with therequirement of giving particulars and marking the answers so that during the examination they

could do sowithout any difficulty, mistake or loss of time.

17. The answer sheet used will be of special type which will be scanned on Optical Scanner. There will

be two sides of the answer sheet.

1 Side 1 - This side of the answer sheet begins with instructions for marking the responses. The

following are then to be filled in with a blue or black ball point pen only, neatly and accurately:

This side of the answer sheet also contains the following columns which are to be written/filled

in with blue or black ball point pen or HB pencil only (Please study the specimen answer sheet

appended:)

RollNumber : Write and Darken (completely filling in) the appropriatecirclescorresponding to Roll Number.

Test Booklet Serial Number : Write the number written on the test booklet given to you2 Side-2 : This side is to be used for marking responses to questions numbered 001 to 100. After

every question number, four circles numbered A , B , C, &D are provided.

The candidate must indicate his/her response to the question by darkening the appropriate

circle completely with a blue or black ball point pen or HB Pencil. For example :

18. The candidates are advised to decide about the answer before they mark it on the answer sheet. He

must ensure that the circle is completely darkened withblue or black ball point pen or HB pencil only.

A lightly orfaintly darkened circle will be treated as a wrong method of marking and will be rejected

by the OpticalScanner.

19. If the candidate does not want to attempt any question he should not touch any circle given against

thatquestion.

20. The candidate must ensure that the answer sheet is not folded. He should not make any stray marks

on it.

Changing An Answer

21. If a candidate wants to change any answer on the answer sheet, he/she must completely erase the

existing pencil mark and then darken the appropriate circle with blue or black ball point pen or HB

pencil only. Candidate must not leave any visible mark after erasing, otherwise the response will be

treated as wrong.

Pens, Erasers and Pencils

22. The candidate must bring his own materials such as blue or black ball point pens and HBpencils (any

otherpencil HH, HHH etc. should not to be used). Please note that no pencil other than of HB mark

should beused. In case any pencil other than HB pencils used, the answer sheet can be rejected by

the Optical Scanneron which the answer sheets willbe scanned. The candidate must also bring own

sharpener and erasers (of good quality). He will have to ensure that no mark is visible after erasing

any response.

Important Instructions for Marking

23. Use Blue or black ball point pen or HB pencil only to darken the appropriate circle.

24. Mark should be dark and should completely fill the circle.

25. Darken only one circle for each entry.

26. Please do not fold the answer sheet and make any stray marks on it.

27. Make the marks only in the space provided.

Rough Work

28. The candidate will not do any rough work or writing work on the answer sheet. All rough work is to

be donein the Test Booklet itself.

Merit List

29. Separate merit lists of Regular and Foreign / N.R.I. / PIO / OCI / Management Merit Category

candidatesshall be displayed at the Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University College of Ayurved, Pune-

Satara Road, Pune - 411 043. and reasonable number of candidates in accordance with the merit

willbe informed and called for counselling.

Counselling And On-the-Spot-Admission Session

1. The counselling and interview and on-the-spot admission session will be held at the Bharati

Vidyapeeth Deemed University College of Ayurved, Pune-Satara Road,Pune-411 043 on the day and

time mentioned in the Calender events.

2. Only the candidate and one parent/guardian willbe allowed into the hall where counselling is held.

The candidates will be called in the order of their merit and offered the seats available at that point

in time. The candidate willbe permitted to choose any of the seats available when his/her turn comes.

3. When all the seats in a given branch are filled, admission of students to that branch will

instantaneously cease and Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University will not be responsible for non-

availabilityof the seats and non-allotment to the rest of the candidates.

4. At the time of reporting for the counselling, the candidate is required to produce the documents

(original and two sets of photocopies) listed in above application procedure. If the candidate isadmitted to any of the courses, these documents willbe retained by the University till he/she completes

the branch. If the candidate fails to produce the documents listed in application procedure, he/she

will instantaneously forfeit his claim for a seat.

5. Physical presence of the candidate at the counselling is mandatory. In case, if the candidate unable

to attend counselling due to his/her health problem. He/She may send his/her representative to attend

counselling alongwith letter of authority with mentioning choice of his/her speciality. The choice of

speciality made by therepresentative/candidate is final and binding and will not be altered later under

any circumstances. The format of letter of authority is attached as Annexure-I

The selected candidates from amongst those called for counselling will have to finalise the admission

by payment of fees on the spot.

Failure to attend the counselling or to pay the fees on spot and submission of all necessary documents

will result in automatic forfeiture of the claim of the candidates for the selection.

In case the candidate does not want to continue the course after payment of fees he/she will have to

requestthe Principal for cancellation of admission in writing. The refund of fees paid willbe done as per the

following rules :-

Refundof Fees as per Rules of University.

The selected candidate will have to join as full time resident immediately and will not be permitted to

do any other job. If he fails to join the course within 15 days of the selection, his admission will automatically

get cancelled andhe will not be entitled for any refund of fees.

Any legal matters arising out of the total admission process of M.D./M.S. & P.G. Diploma courses in

Ayurved through All India Common Entrance Test of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune-30 i.e.

AYUPET-2014 will be under the Jurisdiction of courts at Pune, Maharashtra.

Schedule of Fees

The candidate selected for admission will have to pay the following annual fees

Refund of Fees

In case of cancellation of Admission the Refundpolicy will be as follows :

(1) In the event of student withdrawing before the starting of the particular course, the entire fee

collected from the student, after a deduction of the processing fee of Rs. 1,000/- (Rupees Onethousand only)shall be refunded.

(2) If a student submits his application for cancellation of admission in a prescribed form (duly

completed) within 15 calendar days from the date of commencement of the particular course, 10

percent of total amount of tuition fees prescribed for the course willbe deducted form the amount

of tuition feepaidby him and the balance amount will be refunded.

(3) If a student submits his application for cancellation of admission in a prescribed form (duly

completed within 30 calendar days from the date of commencement of the particular course, 20

percent of the total amount of tuition fees prescribed for the course will be deducted from the

amount of tuition fee paid by him and the balance amount will be refunded.

(4) If a student submits an application for cancellation of admission after 30 calendar days from the

date of commencement of the particular course, no refund will be made and Rule (5) may also

be invoked. However, if the application for cancellation of admission is submitted before the last

date prescribed for admission, and if the vacated seat is filled by another candidate, 25% of the

amount of tuition fees prescribed for the course will be deducted from the amount of tuition fee

paid and the balance amountwill be refunded.

(5) If any student admitted to any course leaves the course after the prescribed last date for admission

of the particular course no refund will be made and he will be required to pay full amount of

tuition fees forthe remaining entire duration of the course.

Differences of Opinions Dispute with Regard to Rules

Differences of opinion and disputes arising in the interpretation and implementation of the clauses in

this brochure, if any, will be referred to the Vice-Chancellor of the Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University,

Pune and his decision shall be final and binding.
